"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."
Sir Richard BransonHi Gramara! This is a great tool for non-native English writers. I am eagerly waiting for an update. As it's been two years without any update, is there any update expected recently?

Gramara is a free grammar checker powered by artificial intelligence that assists writers in removing grammatical errors, improving their word choice, and writing English more fluently. The software analyzes not only the spelling and grammar of a sentence, but also whether the appropriate words were chosen and whether they were used appropriately. In addition to this, it provides the writer with a number of recommendations that can be used to improve the quality of the written content. Writers have the ability to choose their own writing style, whether it be formal, informal, or concise. They are even able to translate the corrected sentences into their native language, all without having to navigate away from the platform and use a tool provided by a third party. Gramara is supported by AI capabilities, and it also assists writers in improving their own writing skills. The software is able to remember the author's writing style and incorporate newly discovered words into its existing dictionary. It examines a comprehensive database of writing styles and vocabularies in order to provide helpful recommendations to the writer. In addition, the software functions properly for a great number of other languages in addition to English, including Dutch, Spanish, French, and a great many more. In addition, if a user runs into any problems while making use of the tool, he can contact Gramara's customer support team for assistance.
PerfectIt is essential for my business and the addition of the Chicago Manual of Style option is fabulous and will help me greatly in my editing business. Unfortunately, the Mac version is frustrating to use and still needs work. I've been frustrated by the need to run each check separately on book-length documents. Microsoft makes it impossible for me to report issues with PerfectIt because it asks me to send my documents to them. My clients' work is proprietary and that's not possible—a problem many editors have. I hope Intelligent Editing and Microsoft will continue to work to make PerfectIt Cloud for Mac better. More and more editors are using Macs and this is essential.

PerfectIt is another excellent proofreading program, this one was developed by Daniel Heuman in 2009 for use by editorial professionals. Because it is not designed for authors, but rather editors, it offers a one-of-a-kind offering to the specialized market that it serves. It was created with the goal of reducing the amount of time spent editing by as many people as possible. When using PerfectIt, you will come across the following: A checker for hyphenation; a checker for spelling inconsistencies; a checker for consistent formatting, including italics, brackets, quotes, the Oxford comma, and other elements; Compatible with a number of different style sheets. The following packages are open for signup: Individuals and Teams: $70 per person per year for 1 to 39 users; Enterprise: $25 per person per year for teams of 40 or more There is not a free version of PerfectIt; however, there is a free trial that lasts for 14 days, during which time you can try out the software without spending any money. Every feature can be accessed across the board, from the free trial all the way up to the premium plan. This application, which has been hailed as the "leading software among professional proofreaders and editors," can even enforce the rules outlined in the stylebook that you are currently employing. In addition to that, it finds instances of undefined abbreviations and works for the English spoken in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. If you want to improve your skills as a self-editor or even if you want to earn some money as a professional editor or proofreader, you should check out the free trial of this program and see if it has what you need.
A tool that every college student requires! Very useful and interesting concept!

It saves you time, teaches you how to be a better writer, and improves the quality of your manuscript, and to me, that’s a perfect trifecta.
- Michael La Ronn, Author and Professional Speaker
The software is easy to use, and I appreciate the focus on consistency, which is my primary concern when editing.
- Lauren Holder Raab, Blue Pencil Editing
