"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."Sir Richard Branson
I'm now using this program for my my MacBook (2.4 Intel core 2 duo; 2 GB RAM) and my girlfriends Mac mini (2.26 Intel Core 2 duo; 2 GB RAM) and it has worked flawlessly. The program is easily customizable so if you need it to ignore certain stylistic errors it will do so. There are few errors that it will not detect, but if it were perfect, it would be the holy grail for anyone from scriptwriters to academic essayist - worth far more than a measly $40. Many users have expressed their concerns regarding the interface and stability of this application. As far as i've discovered, the interface runs effortlessly in the menu bar and has yet to crash on neither my machine or my girlfriends with the latest version. As i've seen in these reviews, the developer cares about the reputation of this product, and what consumer doesn't like that type of care and attention. This is an excellent program! Keep up the good work.
Grammarian PRO2 is a sophisticated piece of writing software designed specifically for Mac users. The software is able to detect mistakes in grammar, spelling, and other areas of writing and provide corrections to assist in making write-ups appear more professional. The most important aspects of Grammarian PRO2 are its comprehensive error-check writing and editing capabilities. Additionally, the program includes a dictionary and thesaurus that are written in American English and comprise over two million entries for nearly 250,000 different words. Each entry comes with its own set of definitions as well as the various parts of speech. Grammarian PRO2 is a piece of software that was developed by Linguisoft. It has the ability to automatically detect and correct 4,000 of the most common typographical errors and spelling mistakes. Additionally, it enables users to save time by performing repetitive or predictive typing on their behalf. When compared to its predecessors, which were distributed by Linguisoft over the course of 32 years, Grammarian PRO2 is able to perform more sophisticated grammar and spelling checks than its predecessors. The most recent version of the program adheres to more than 275 integrated spelling and grammar writing guidelines, which is more than ten times the standard of just 26 corrections that MS Office provides. As a consequence of this, users are virtually assured of receiving accurate and high-quality reviews that are on par with the proofreading abilities of academic experts and experienced editors. Users can gain more self-assurance in their ability to learn and communicate in English if the grammar and spelling checker they use has been updated to provide more accurate results. People who are not fluent in the aforementioned language can use Grammarian PRO2 as a reference to learn how to correctly use words, punctuation marks, tenses, and other elements of the language. People who do not use English as their primary language are more likely to make use of homophones, which are words that are spelled correctly but are used incorrectly in terms of context. Its intuitive system is able to detect homophones. Grammarian PRO2 is capable of reviewing web pages as well as educational or scientific documents, in addition to its ability to generate scans by copying and pasting content directly onto a dialogue box. This removes the necessity of manually entering large amounts of content into the application, allowing for time savings and the completion of additional reviews. Grammarian PRO2 does not simply generate a document that has been cleaned up without keeping track of the errors that it fixes. Users have the ability to review any changes that were made to a document using the AutoMarkup feature, and there is also the option to print out a hard copy of the document. In addition to this, Grammarian PRO2 has the capacity to produce statistical reports of the content that it has scanned in order to conduct a more in-depth analysis. Users can learn how to avoid making the same errors in grammar and spelling again by viewing the errors that were identified by the system and seeing how the system marked them. In addition to these features, Grammarian PRO2 also has capabilities for a quick 64-bit Input Menu and a new 64-bit Pencil Menu. The engine that is used in the most recent version of the application is also faster than any of the versions that came before it. The simplified navigation and increased productivity both result from the updated user interface of the program, which removes unnecessary clutter.
There are other programs that offer spell check but I enjoy after the deadline simply because of other features such as smart suggestions. At this time I can't find anything that I don't like.
After the Deadline is a web application that provides free grammar and spelling checking services. It is a tool that runs in the cloud and makes use of intelligent open source technology to first identify errors and then provide intelligent recommendations. It also ensures that writers use the appropriate words for their contents by processing paragraphs and sentences in order to determine if the words being used are the words that are meant to be used or if they are some other words. Because of this, there are fewer instances of words being used incorrectly, which results in clearer writing. On top of that, After the Deadline is an application that not only corrects errors, but it also provides explanations for why those errors were made in the first place. This helps writers learn more about proper grammar and language usage. Writers are able to pick up new rules as a result of this, remember them well enough to use them in their subsequent works, and keep them fresh in their minds. The primary advantages of utilizing After the Deadline are that it does not cost anything to do so, it is built on an open source code architecture, and it is an adaptable application, which enables it to be integrated into a wide variety of different platforms and apps. In comparison to the vast majority of language checking tools available on the internet, this application's price point is significantly more reasonable. Users won't have to pay After the Deadline's standard monthly or yearly subscription fees, as is the case with most other applications of its kind. It offers them sophisticated grammar and style checking services at no additional cost. Developers are provided with the opportunity to use the tools by embedding it into whatever application they are developing as a result of the use of an architecture that is based on open source code. They also have the ability to change the rules if they have requirements for their language standards that are more specific. Before making their products available to the general public, companies can use this to ensure that their content is free of grammatical mistakes and, as a result, protect their reputations and avoid any potential embarrassment. Because it is accessible through the web, After the Deadline does not call for any kind of download on the part of its users. It is possible to use the application straight from web browsers such as Firefox, Chrome, and others. Additionally, it is compatible with the OpenOffice productivity suite and can be used with that. Before submitting their work to their instructors, professors, superiors, or anyone else, users are able to check their own contents for any errors that they may have introduced. In addition to this, After the Deadline is compatible with a variety of other applications, such as BuddyPress, Live Writer, Windows Live, and others. Users can feel confident about whatever they are typing because this provides them with an all-encompassing solution for checking their language usage, regardless of the platform they are using. While you are writing on the internet, you can use a cool add-on called After the Deadline to check and correct your spelling and grammar. After the Deadline is a slick Firefox add-on that will help you make sure that there are no errors in the text that you type, regardless of whether you are filling out forms, writing emails, or even just updating your status on Facebook. It has a wide variety of configurable options, including the capability to check a variety of optional grammatical points, such as clichés and biased language. It also has a nice selection of configuration options.
The program is an essential computer secretary for proofreading. It works well, and catches mistakes, stopping me from submitting papers with careless errors.
This software is great. I'm a bilingual, grammar is not my thing, this software combine with mellel, scrivener, and bookend allow me to finish my thesis with minimal effort. Thanks you for making such a great software.
This latest version of Grammarian Pro has been rock-solid for me (Leopard and my G5 iMac), as was the version before this. Although I did not have some of the stability problems some reviewers in 2007 had with earlier versions, I agree that the program was in need of some bug fixes and updates, and the advent of Leopard seems to have spurred some much needed development and improvements. As a professional writer and editor, I really love this program and highly recommend it. I've used it for years now and consider it part of my professional "toolbox." It's easy to use and easy to set up, and I especially like how much I can customize Grammarian. You can customize system-wide or program specific hot keys for virtually every function and you can customize the level and type of the grammar and spelling checking (Academic, business, casual, grade level, etc.) to an amazing degree. The grammar checker, spell checker, thesaurus and dictionary are *far* superior to those in MS Word. Best of all, Grammarian Pro is available system-wide, and the level and kind of grammar checking and spell checking can be customized for each program you use, if you want to -- one kind of checking in MS Word or Scrivener, for example, and another when using a text editor to write code or HTML and another when using it in a web browser, or PIM, or spreadsheet. The level, kind, and amount of checking are up to you. Of course, there's no substitute for the writer knowing and learning the basic rules of grammar, and getting an "ear" for what good writing sounds like. And GP doesn't catch every mistake, and sometimes it flags non-problems or even makes dubious grammar suggestions. But on the whole I find I'm far less likely to make bonehead grammar mistakes (not to mention spelling errors) when GP has my back, so to speak. GP can be a good learning tool, too. For example, if you're prone to using too much passive voice in your writing, you can set up GP to have it nag you every time it comes across it, and this can be a great way to improve one's writing. I hope this doesn't sound like an advertisement. I have no relationship with this software or company other than as an end-user. But I do speak as someone who has used this program for years. Grammarian Pro can be a great help to anyone who writes. Version 1.8.1 is a solid update, and I'm happy to give it a 5-star rating based on my daily use of the program.
I like the fact "After the Deadline" is a Cloud Based Software that helps edit doucuments and other writing matertials online. My company creates a lot of content and making sure things are correct before publishing helps out a lot. I love the fact it uses intelligence to figure out a word is the word you meant to use. The software is smarter then the writer at times. I also like the cost of the software pretty afforable.

I can’t recommend After The Deadline as a grammar and spell checker. It works well enough through its website and has a great handle on punctuation and grammar. I think if it were being updated regularly it could be a great way to teach grammar rules to people in many different languages. But there were some serious red flags. They have shady downloads, no plagiarism detector, no mobile app, and the system hasn’t been updated in years. That’s a shame because I genuinely liked using it on the website as an editing tool. The website still exists, but with the WordPress plugin shutting down in May 2019 after eight years of no updates, it’s clear that this is a dead brand that is not actively keeping pace with the grammar checking industry. I’ll stick with my Grammarly account.
