“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“
Sir Richard Branson
As a parent of a dyslexic son I help him a lot by reading for him. He quickly gets tired from reading and he has trouble taking in the subject. But the truth is that I can’t be there for him all the time. Thats why I developed IcanRead. Whenever my son is struggling with a text, he can use the app. I feel proud to give him the same opportunities to learn as anyone else. Now I’m excited to share this app with the world. I want as many families as possible to have this chance of leveling the playing field.
AdamAny text can be read aloud by IcanRead, whether it is in a book, on a screen, typed, or written by hand. The most realistic-sounding voice is being used to read the text. It is impossible to distinguish from a real person. The app features three modes. Tripod mode makes use of cutting-edge AI to identify your finger and determine precisely where you point. It is used to listen to content that is printed or in a book. You can hear any text you focus your mobile camera at when in handheld mode. With only one click, the screen mode can read any text on your screen aloud. IcanRead can recognize the language of the text and supports more than 50 different languages. What tone do the voices have? IcanRead makes use of artificial intelligence-generated voice. It has an incredibly realistic voice. The listener's comprehension is enhanced as a result. How does it function? IcanRead can read aloud any text, whether it is in a book, on a screen, typed, or written by hand. On any smartphone, the app functions. The software has two modes: handheld and tripod. The tripod setting When you want to concentrate on reading and understanding the text, the tripod mode is excellent. Place your phone on a tripod. The camera can make out the text in your book. You gesture at the book's text to indicate that you want to listen. The program will read aloud the material to you. To recognize your finger and determine exactly where you point, the app makes use of cutting-edge AI. When you're studying and don't want your phone to distract you, this mode is ideal. The Portable Mode The handheld mode is simple to use and provides very quick access to any text. When the app reads the text aloud, point your phone at it, tap, and then listen. The Display Mode You can read any text on your computer's screen after installing IcanRead. Press Ctrl+I while pointing the cursor at any text to listen. It functions in all other programs, including Word, Chrome, Safari, Outlook, and others. For someone with dyslexia, having access to the proper tools can completely transform their life. Utilizing text-to-speech software enhances understanding, according to science. Any text can be read aloud using IcanRead. Aim and Listen. The goal of this is to make life easier for dyslexic persons. Since there is text everywhere, reading is a crucial ability. Every child should read aloud to themselves and be aware that learning to read is feasible even if they have dyslexia, in our opinion. But we also understand that reading requires more mental effort for dyslexics than for others. IcanRead is available to assist you when your mental energy wanes.
See how Speechify compares with IcanReadI Love this App! This app is the best and most easy to use program I have found for reading text out loud. I use it for all my work in school. I love the option for changing the speed and for changing the voice of the reader. I only wish you could open two tabs at once and could change the speed it reads in the middle of it reading (instead of needing to stop the audio, change the speed, and restart from the begining). All that being said, still the best app I've come across for text to speech.

Easy to use This program is easy to use and works for my needs. I like that they do not collect my data as well! I didn't give it a 5 star just because it sounds very automated and some words are pronounced wrong, but I'm satisfied and will continue using this program

Convienent And Simple This is the type of thing you would hope was already on your computer but at least it was free. While it could be more fancy and allow more options, this text to speech program is more than sufficient for my purposes. Turning text to audio and making those files easily accessable while still being free. Forces a review but I think the agressiveness is what put it near the top of the search options for me to find... I endorse this app regardless.
