Gliffy's strength is the ease with which diagrams can be edited cleanly. Links between components adjust properly when things are dragged around, saving a lot of time

Free to use but still has the same functionality as some of the paid diagraming add-ons. While it doesn't fit all of our needs across the entire enterprise all of the time, it always fits my personal needs whether for work or for writing my book.
