Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.

This is the best program ever. I wrote 4000 words in one day when in the past I was lucky to get down 500 because of how much of a perfectionist I was being and constantly editing as I went. The 4000 words I threw down were certainly terribly written, but I really don't care because *the words are down and moving the story forward*! This is the best tool for compulsive editors during NaNoWriMo. I can make the writing good later, but for now, getting the words on the page using this program might actually make me successful this NaNo. Thank you thank you thank you.

ilys forces me to get something down. I have a tendency to try and edit as I write, which means it can take me hours to write something even fairly short, and in the end I am not happy with the result. With ilys I know that I can't change anything until I reach my word goal. Also, the simplicity of the site really helps to minimize distractions.

ilys helps with my writing when I'm having trouble focusing. It's great how it makes the whole screen dark and shows only one letter at a time so I can't go back and edit or get distracted by other tabs. I also like the word count feature. Knowing I have to write a certain number of words before I can edit them keeps me going until I reach the goal.

It's a useful tool but you all lied. It costantly said after I downloaded it that if I uploaded 10 images then the ads will stop. Well, ten approved (and some even downloaded by others!) photos and I'm still seeing ads. That wouldn't be so bad if the ads didn't happen 3 seconds after the last ad, in the middle of scrolling, when I'm looking at the image for more than 10 seconds, etc. Also it works on my android tablet, but not my android phone. It keeps crashing as soon as I open it.

Used to work fine but these last few months I can't get it to load any pictures. End up going in chrome to look at images from the website everytime. Edit (some weeks later): new phone, images load up but not able to use any filters except image orientation. Changing filters causes the app to bring up 0 results (of a previous search which yielded over 9,000 and no I'm not memeing here). Liking or saving an image causes the app to crash completely. Seems using chrome is still the best option.

Crashes within 20 seconds of opening, every time I try to use it. I have always loved this app and use it on my android phone to create social media content for the non-profit I work for. I have tried force stop and uninstalled multiple times but it still crashes. So frustrating and disappointing!

Pros & cons

ilys

Pros
Ilys doesn’t let you see the words you have written
This allows you to focus on what you will be writing next and not what you have already written

Pixabay

Pros
You can find all kinds of royalty-free elements in this site and use it on your personal, as well as commercial projects
If you have specific size requirements, you can choose from several options and download the one you prefer.

Cons
No longer useful
Like so many others have indicated, this app used to be amazing then suddenly it stopped working
I'm willing to bet changes where made to the website code that broke the mobile app and the developers are unable to update the app for some reason
I have discovered that my favorites still load if you mark them in the web version, even new favorites (i.g
not just cached)
I really hope this gets fixed, usually bugs like this are easy to fix.-A Google userNovember 24, 2019
