“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“
Sir Richard Branson
The app reads with the word highlighted. But the pages don't scroll automatically. So the app continues reading outside the visible area and I can't see where the app is reading. Also I don't manage to get the sentence highlighted in a pdf, only the word, but with a square around the word, not with a highlight of the word. If I transfer the pdf to text only, all headers disappear, and all paragraphs breaks disappear

I love this app a lot. I'm not a very good reader and this year I've had to do so many notes out of a textbook and this app has been my saving grace. In my opinion it is much better than speechify when it comes to actual textbook readings. Speechify has a terrible camera and always messes up the words but this app read it incredibly well. The only thing I wish I could change is the voice and the reading speed but overall it's an incredible app, would recommend. :)

I purchased VDR for my iPhone years ago and it became my most used app. It's absolutely amazing. Recently I purchased VDR for Android and I'm struggling with some basic tasks--like how to get VDR to advance to the second article after finishing the first one. For the life of me I can't figure it out. Also, when I back out of an article, it takes me to the beginning of my list of articles rather than to the location of the article I was just reading. And one more thing, I am very disappointed that the NeoSpeech voice I used in iOS doesn't seem to be available in Android--but I can't criticize VDR for that.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and was presented with the ability to download and use voices again. Top Tip - NEVER update this app once you get it to work. It may never do so again. Used the app over 8 years on IOS and Android. Very useful. The latest update lost all of my voices with no ability to use text to speech.

Literally life changing. I wish I'd had this while in grad school. I can go through a whole stack of papers in an afternoon rather than it taking a week. It tripled my reading speed at least. Voice to speech also good enough that I can listen while commuting or doing chores. I also just found the regex feature which will make docs with headers so much better. Really, thank you guys for making this.

I work as a care giver, and the person I work for goes to college. He is visually impared and some work doesn't have audio, so this app came in handy for taking pics of the work and it reading it. The voice sounds good (trust me I've heard worse) and it did great! Thank you so much!!

This app is by far the most accurate image reader I have tried. It doesn't confuse the words as long as you take the shot in proper angle and lighting. There some points to improve of course. For example, sometimes there's a mistake in sectioning and pronunciation (proper stressing). Those are tolerable. Despite its lapses, the app still serves its purpose well. I can now hear while I read, and even copy the paragraph quickly whenever I need to forward it to friends for a discourse. Awesome app!

It works! The only issues I have is that it reads the dash (-) as 'minus' when its connecting words. The dash should say not anything when its used to join words. It also separates the page so it reads parts separately that aren't meant to be separate. Besides that it's great for auditory listeners with school and learning. Just reading in general its helpful for processing what its saying.
