“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“
Sir Richard Branson
The app really isn’t meant for much else, but for professional writers seeking to streamline their process, it may be very valuable. The cloud-focused app also needs an internet connection to really be useful when it comes to security and backups.
Anonynous User, Be A Writer TodayLivingWriter has many excellent features to offer…if you’re writing a novel. The entire app is built on features specifically made to help writers navigate large fiction books as they write.
fantastic app, glitchy but very good. it might give the wrong color and it cant read hand-righting, this aside the light channel and text channels are fantastic. it will however tell you the color no problem if say your looking at a computer screen, but it's not very good at sky colors. it's seen channel is getting better but it's a bit wonky to. just an idea for the next update is give us the ability to read maps and weather radars and such. this could be implemented by getting the photo, and being able to explore it, say theres a text on the top left, right now it'll read that, and say theres a map legend on the right from the top going down, it'll read that no problem, but middle of the photo where the map and the colors are it's totally dead, does absolutely nothing. this could be revolutionary if your app could actually tell us the maps, it would not just help in weather, but if someone sends a blind person a map of a building they would be able to see the map no problem. it levels the playing-field at that point. thanks for such a great app, I use it almost daily.
James KC3CDVSeeing AI is a free app that narrates the world around you. Designed for the blind and low vision community, this ongoing research project harnesses the power of AI to open up the visual world and describe nearby people, text and objects. Optimized for use with VoiceOver, the app enables you to recognize: • Short Text - Speaks text as soon as it appears in front of the camera. • Documents - Provides audio guidance to capture a printed page, and recognizes the text, along with its original formatting. • Products - Scans barcodes, using audio beeps to guide you; hear the name, and package information when available. (works with iPhone 6 and later) • People - Saves people’s faces so you can recognize them, and get an estimate of their age, gender, and emotions. • Scenes (early preview) - Hear an overall description of the scene captured. • Currency - Recognizes currency notes. (Requires iOS 11) • Color - Identifies color. • Handwriting - Reads handwritten text like in greeting cards • Light - Generates an audible tone corresponding to the brightness in the surroundings. • Images in other apps - Just tap “Share” and “Recognize with Seeing AI” to describe images from Mail, Photos, Twitter, and more. • Photo browsing experience - Describes photos on your phone Seeing AI is built to help you achieve more by leveraging the power of the cloud and artificial intelligence. As the research progresses, more channels may be added. I've been using this app for awhile on my tablet and desktop. While the desktop app isn't perfect, this app is particularly frustrating to use, especially if you're using a physical keyboard. The arrow keys don't control the cursor, instead cycling through the header navigation. Once you've accidentally pressed an arrow key, pressing space bar makes the menu open, without fail. It's very irritating.

Perfect for those who like to plot out their stories. The tools are very versatile and I easily adjusted them to my needs. I love that I can jump between mobile and web, since I write 80% on my phone and 20% on the computer. My only major qualm with this app is that I really like the element link feature, but I don't think it works on the app. I can see the element links I've made on the web version, but as far as I can tell, I can't make links.

I love the desktop version but the app leaves so much to be desired. Basic functions like being able to use auto correct or select/highlight text to cut or copy and paste is just non existent and it lags like crazy. Part of the reason I signed up was for the supposed convenience of being able to work on my projects from my phone or computer when on the go but that's simply not possible with so many basic functions (which can be found in any other writing app) just aren't available.

Students who are blind or visually impaired will appreciate the ease of having their surroundings narrated, and features like facial, color, and scene recognition will draw in their peers.

Winner! Love this app. I lost my vision three years ago and was told that this app is very useful. I use it almost daily on the go in at home. Everything works pretty seamless except for the color reader which can be kind of an accurate at times. It would be amazing if you guys can add some thing that would be able to read digital clocks. Unfortunately a lot of my devices in my home have digital clocks like my stove my washing machine my thermostat etc. I do use a lot of smart devices in my home but some of them are not able to be hooked up to my smart devices. So it would be pretty cool if I could hold the phone in front of the stove to see what temperature the oven is on or how much time is left on the washing machine etc. Overall absolutely love this application. Keep up the good work

Best app for blind and visually impaired that I’ve ever seen Absolutely love this app I use it all the time because whenever I buy groceries sometimes I may forget what I bot I need to figure out where to put it but sometimes it is hard for me to read the letters on boxes and things either because the letters are too small or the letters are too different from just normal print text seriously love this app. Thankyou! The only thing that I would say I would like to have if it’s even possible is I have a very hard time with expiration dates I always have to have someone come down and read it for me and I have not found a single app that has been able to find and read expiration dates don’t know if that’s possible if not that’s fine it would just be nice thing to have I’m even very skeptical about eating things in my fridge and pantry just because I don’t know if it’s any good or not and I don’t wanna have to call someone to say hey can you come tell if this is good or not so it definitely is a real problem for me don’t really know what else to do so if that is a feature that is possible to be added it would be great but again I very much love this app it has made my life so much easier thank you again
