Even with copy/pasting each field, it would take up some time to process a lot of requests. Now, we can approve or deny events with the click of a button and the public takes the time to format the events themselves. This also allows for required fields so we don't receive events with missing information.

I'm very familiar with Localist after having used it for a few years so I'm reluctant to change to a different email merge system but I do find it to be user-friendly and easy to introduce people to.

In our particular application, there just isn't very much traffic. The idea of a dedicated event calendar can feel like too much when everyone already uses their own CRM or email lists to communicate about events. More flexible integrations would be a nice feature, like if Localist could pull in events automatically from third-party CRMs. Customizeable reminder messages and follow-up messaging would also add value.

Overall, this has been a great tool for a couple of small organizations I work with using Samepage. It has the core features small teams need to get organized and is very cost effective (with their generous free plan).
