Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.

Memrise reviews

Of course though, like any language learning program out there, there are a handful of negatives as well. Most notably among these, I don’t believe Memrise is the best for developing your conversational skills. By and large, however, Memrise still receives high marks from our team. I think Memrise is an excellent language app for folks who want to achieve a basic to intermediate grasp of a new language with decent fluency.

- Debbie Lopez

I really like Memrise and think it’s a great tool to help you learn vocabulary and phrases effectively. The technology and science behind Memrise are top-notch. The content in the official courses is high quality, and the user-generated courses cover a huge variety of topics.

- Chad Emery

Of course, this is not the best solution out there, as many of the user-created courses contain errors and mistakes in grammar lessons. You may have to filter which Memrise courses are worth your time after fiddling with the app for at least two to three months. Moreover, you'll have to deal with frustration in speaking like a native since many of their features are behind an expensive subscription plan.

HyperRead for Chrome reviews

The app runs quite well and can reach higher speeds than most other implementations of Spritz I've used. The breaks after each paragraph are also very helpful in increasing comprehension and the length/speed information is a great bonus. It would be even better if users could customize the size of the font to take advantage of larger/smaller screens.

- A Google User

Okay, it seems most of these Spritz readers can't do .pdfs, which is disappointing. The 'breaks' this takes, where you can see it 'scanning' a webpage? THAT'S what I want from speed reading software! I want something where it will train my eyes to follow a target quickly, which I think will apply better to reading an ordinary book than just having the words fixed in the centre of the screen. Thank you.
