“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“

I joined MeWe after the election as a Facebook Refugee. I’m a fiction author and invested a lot of money in FB ads to promote my books. While I gained followers, sales were just okay. I still have my FB Author account but deleted my personal account because of FBs lack of privacy practices. I created a new personal MeWe account. Most of my family and friends have stayed with FB. Unfortunately, the ick factor on MeWe is the same as any social media site, single men sending me contact requests. Geez, people, got to Tinder, creeps! There’s a learning curve to weeding this type of thing out, but so far I enjoy the newsfeed and groups I’ve joined. I paid for the membership but learning a whole new platform is confusing for someone my age. I noticed on this blog you have icons in the left sidebar linking to FB, Twitter, Pinterest, IN and Instagram but not to your MeWe page. Is there a reason for that? I was hoping to add a MeWe share link to my author website but haven’t figured out how to do it. Can you help with that or is it even possible? Thank you for your insight into the platform and keeping your review up to date. I look forward to your answer.
Teri GreenMeWe began in Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a vision hatched over a dinner between good friends who were early founders of social media. With Facebook all the rage, they felt something critically human was getting lost: the spirit of our democracy and the backbone of our privacy. The big technology companies, you know who they are, had reverted to treating us as commodities. They somehow mistook people signing up to use their services as a welcome invitation to target, track, spy, and sell our information to advertisers and the government. All in all, it felt pretty creepy. MeWe founder, Mark Weinstein, dreamed of the next generation in online communications, envisioning a social and chat app that would give people everywhere the most exciting and helpful sharing technology with privacy built into the design - where members would feel safe and respected. Mark relocated to Mountain View, California, in the backyard of technology’s established Goliaths, and built a worldwide team of visionary individuals - fun, good people determined to revolutionize social media and build a new platform to go head-to-head with Facebook and restore decency, privacy, and respect for social media users. Mark created the Sgrouples beta project, hiring an engineering team to design and build the world’s first social network with privacy-by-design for its members. The 3-year Sgrouples beta project served as the testing platform for the launch of MeWe. Making its official launch during SXSW 2016 (South by Southwest), MeWe was honored as the 2016 Start-Up of the Year Finalist for “Innovative World Technology.” World-renowned thought leaders proudly serve on MeWe’s Advisory Board, including the inventor of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee. MeWe is the visionary culmination of years of determined efforts, research, and development to provide people around the world with a communication network they love and trust.
Rumble isn’t a new website. It’s been around since 2013. That’s when it was launched by technology entrepreneur CEO and founder Chris Pavlovski. In August 2020, Pavlovski felt YouTube was unjustly censoring and pulling select videos which did not conform to YouTubes own set of values and beliefs. In response to his belief, Pavlovsky decided to shift the focus of Rumble. Going forward, he said, Rumble would be a site that allowed creators of videos to freely express thoughts and views, without fear of unjust censorship. That’s not to say that Rumble doesn’t censor any videos. A video which includes unlawful content, such as pornography or bullying, would not pass the editorial review process. Rumble would adhere to the principle of free expression and be “immune to cancel culture,” Pavlovski said. Video content creators could post videos on Rumble, which would operate as a “free and open internet” site where users could post videos and free express their views. On Rumble, users would be free from “cancel culture” Pavlovsky said. And at the same time, users would become profit sharing users, who could make money. Rumble filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google Search in January 2021, claiming it controlled search results, meaning users searches didn’t freely explore all results. The lawsuit is ongoing. Meanwhile, the use of the Rumble video platform grows. In 2021, there were 36 million average users per month. That’s an increase from 1.6 million users per month in 2020. In January 2022, Rumble had 39 million users.
Lisa PrinceWe are for people with something to say and something to share, who believe in authentic expression, and want to control the value of their own creations. We create technologies that are immune to cancel culture. Because everyone benefits when we have access to more ideas, diverse opinions, and dialogue. Join us. We are on a mission to protect a free and open internet.
It's stable and reliable. Love how the Premium membership is only advertised once for the day and not constantly. People are afraid that all the conspiracy theorists might be here, but you control what you see, and who sees you, so it's not an issue. Needs lots more users. It's a replacement, for me. I sent them a suggestion about making the pages bordless. That little bit of cropping isn't necessary. Only reason I took a star.

Been on the app for a couple of months after dumping FB. Not too bad of an experience. App is fairly polished and runs well on a 2 year old phone. I'm not a big fan of the automatic notifications. You will get pinged every time someone in a group posts, messages, requests a contact, etc. You can shut all of this off however pretty easily. Overall, I'm pleased with the app and I still use just the free version.

Been on Mewe a few days now and I really like it. Using it has a pretty small learning curve because it's a lot like FB without all the ads, personal information theft, and data mining. Something I think that could use improvement is posting articles and stuff from other sites. Seems like a lot of times it just wants to post the link and not a headline or really anything to go with it. Not a dealbreaker though by any means. Great app!

Rumble needs improvements like loading progress, progress bar thumbs, and hiding progress bar when in fullscreen, etc. But overall, its a great platform, very fast, responsive. Sad that the Android app is not upto the mark.

Ok, Made a Rumble accnt. to expand my viewer reach. Somewhere in my account set up it asked my to basically choose a plan. I do not remember the exact wording, but I did not want to give any rights or controls to my content. So I opted to stop and delete my accnt before it ever began. For reasons unknown to me, it will not let me delete my accnt. I wish I had looked at the reviews people had written before hand, but hindsight tells me I did right by stopping before adding MY video content and giving Rumble control. I shall stick with the UGETube, the platform thats been very good so far. I have absolutely no issues with UGETube. For all of you that have issues with Rumble, I recommend you go check it out UGETube. UGETube is a perfect alternative to YouTube and way less hassle than Rumble, apparently. You left wingers that complain about the flood of conservatives that came to rumble need not apply.

Rumble is a right wing disinformation platform that promotes conspiracy theories, manipulated videos and general violent hate filled garbage. This site is not for the faint of heart and should be shut down for manipulating political and anti social discourse. The worst social media platform on the planet. They never allow alternative views. They censor or won’t post anything other than right wing garbage. AVOID.
