"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."Sir Richard Branson
This digital mind mapping tool can be a versatile way for kids to organize their ideas -- that is, if they can figure out how to use it. MindNode – Mind Map has a clean interface. And if kids stick to the most basic functions, it's also relatively easy to use. As kids branch out and look to the various icons, menus and submenus to create more complex maps, things can get more complicated. The developers have lots of support, including a massive user guide, but not all kids will have the patience to learn all the nuances. The free version helps keep kids to the basic features since those are the only ones available. But that also keeps the maps quite simple, and limits the ways that kids can personalize their visuals. In general, for kids who want to use a mind map to guide brainstorming and organize thoughts, MindNode – Mind Map can be a good start though it may have a learning curve.
Putting your thoughts into words ought to be a speedy, painless, and aesthetically pleasing process. We've taken something as simple as writing down your ideas with a pencil and paper and paired it with an unlimited canvas to produce a breathtaking map in an instant. MindNode does not get in the way, allowing you to concentrate solely on the material you are producing without being distracted by unnecessary details. What Affects Us Most and Why CREATIVITY as well as JOY Make the users' interactions fun and enjoyable while providing a canvas for their creative expression. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SMALL THINGS Focus on the particulars and go over each and every facet several times until you get a good feeling about it. STRICTLY CONCISE YET EFFECTIVE Embrace simplicity and look at it as a tool that can be used to release your powerful side. CONSISTENCY & FAMILIARITY Effortlessly blend in with any setting to give you the impression that you are totally at home. FLEXIBILITY & DIVERSITY Maintain your own distinct point of view while retaining the ability to adjust to a wide variety of circumstances.
This app is everything I was looking for past one month! The auto backup option to SD card is brilliant. Though the app looks hideous. Need much more work on the app design which includes the app icon. Need clean, minimalistic and modern look and colour schemes. The blue colour looks awful. Secondly, I hate the fact that the lower toolbar shows up by default. I would rather prefer a clean window but an option to turn it on for those who actually use it.
In a nutshell, the comprehensive preservation of written thoughts in the form of fully searchable plain text, including text, mathematics (LaTeX), rich markdown, drawings, and so on (universal UTF-8). Elements of the user interface have been fine-tuned in order to decrease the amount of app switching. Easily accessible search filters that allow for precise navigation to the contents of your notes using the fewest possible taps. Tasker, Barcode Scanner, and ColorDict are just some of the add-ons that can further automate your workflow. You can also connect neutriNote's repository to web-based services to achieve the same result. There are options available for you to fine-tune the process of taking notes. There are many different ways to back up your notes. You have the freedom to choose a cloud backend that works for you, whether it be the open source P2P Syncthing, Dropbox, or a third party cloud component such as Google Drive, Box, or OneDrive. Absolutely no charge. No hidden permission (see below). It is possible to further support its development by purchasing supplemental add-ons that are optional.
Essential productivity app MindNode has been my spatial planning tool of choice since Version 4. Now V6 has been released with some important updates, at no charge for recent V5 purchasers. One feature that I specifically requested is being able to edit multiple items on iPad like the Mac OS app. Thank you for listening and adding this feature. Of course I appreciate the free update; I’m also good with purchasing major upgrades when the time comes. Just keep doing what you do best. Here are a few quick comments about the product. It has been rock solid with a very uncluttered UI. Import / export modes simplify moving data between apps and quickly creating a complex mind map in MindNode. Theme chooser and outline view work great and stay out of the way until needed. Kudos Update: This is still an excellent app. There are a few features that would make it even better. First, the ability to copy and paste object styles. Second, the ability to assign horizontal and vertical layouts per level; I would like an org chart layout that is horizontal at the top and vertical below each branch for example.
Life Changing I have a way of doing things but this has introduced me to a new way of spatial mind mapping. I absolutely how clean the UI is and how I can add notes inside of nodes. Since I started school this is the only way I can take notes and clearly organize everything. I advise anybody wanting to try something new, to use this app and give it 100% effort. I will add just a few “personal” things I hope they add, these are just my own opinion and reflect no negativity to the app: More in depth note section and better way to add bullet points. MOREEEEE COLORS If the connections could “flow” better instead of some kind of boomerang looking line. Again this is just my personally opinion, this app is amazing and I know new users will love it! Keep up the amazing job!
I have been using this program since it was first introduced. Until now I have used it for every condition where I needed to relate unrelated things. As promised, I am rewriting my review since the app support people discovered that my problems are not caused by this app. I had begun using iCloud with all my MindNode documents. One document, in particular, I updated daily and frequently updated from different devices. My problem occurred because iCloud did not handle my more complex documents property. Worse than wrecking my document, iCloud is set up to delete any documents that iCloud does not control. So if I turn off iCloud from holding and updating my MindNode documents I cannot recover them to my local device (iPad or iPhone). There are tricks I could play to keep or recover a single document, but I have over 30 MindNode documents so that is impractical. The MindNode support staff were extremely helpful and emailed me with questions until they narrowed the problem to iCloud. From there they had no suggestions except to not keep my documents in the cloud. I will continue to use MindNode if or when I can get my documents back, but I won’t create new documents or update existing ones until iCloud is out of the picture. Solved my iCloud issue by emailing my MindNode documents to myself. Then turned iCloud off.
Perfect workhorse app. Migrated from Evernote, to Simplenote, now been using Neutrinote exclusively for over a year. Not very exciting on the surface, but again: my Android note-taking has been exclusively on Neutrinote for over a year now. I don't even *know* if there's better alternatives because I haven't felt the need to look. PLUSES: Fast; Maximalist (no endless submenus); Local note storage as .txt files (no server issues or DRM); No feature creep; Markdown (it's there if you need it).
- Water Bottle
Good: python support; md support; math notation support, small app footprint; friendly UX for productivity. I use it in conjunction with Obsidian and it is far better than the latter whose UI are not tailored for narrow screens. Bad: the main menu is extremely laggy once there's more a hundred of notes, I opened the directory with another md processing app (Jotterpad) and it was as smooth as butter. There needs to be an option to change the default directory or allow multiple directories.
- John Doe
OG note taker / android owner who always liked the simplicity and portability of plain text. Decided to give neutrinote a spin with first md created in windows in vs code. Used neutrinote to add a table and some heading and highlight modifications. Neutrinote is well-designed and intuitive.
