"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."

Works perfect for what I need it for. Would really like to see a more expanded version that would allow me to inexpensive space to post videos and have group chats when needed.

About Notejoy

Notejoy is a collaboration tool that uses notes to help organizations capture, share, and discover ideas, allowing for the creation of project roadmaps, blog posts, call scripts, onboarding material, OKRs, and more. Users can use drag-and-drop capabilities to upload images, create checklists, share codes, and define syntax and keyboard shortcuts to ensure project engagement. Notejoy includes a digital workplace that allows managers to grant participants role-based access to view or comment on notes, share files, participate in threaded discussions, and edit documents in real-time. Archiving, domain sharing, image galleries, two-factor authentication, password protection, notes history, and other features are available. To establish identity with teams, administrators can use the white-label capabilities to personalize the interface with custom logos, themes, fonts, sidebar items, and colors. Using optical character recognition (OCR) functionality and tags, users can search across libraries and archives for images, PDFs, and Google or office documents. It integrates with a variety of third-party applications, including Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Gmail, Slack, Trello, and HubSpot.

This is a burgeoning, open source, markdown-based note taking app that is already highly capable, but is missing some key features related to mobile and various conveniences. I really hope in the next year it will grow into something spectacular. Hint: If Boostnote's feature set is too bare-bones for you at the moment, consider Inkdrop, which isn't open source but does support end-to-end encrypted sync (including to mobile), better shortcuts in the desktop version, syntax highlighting and gives you the first 60 days for free.

About Boostnote

One excellent example of a note-taking app designed specifically for programmers is Boostnote. It does not have all of the features of a modern note-taking app (for example, it has formatting based on Markdown and organization based on folders, but it does not have web clipping or handwritten notes), but it does have snippets, which are something that programmers absolutely adore. You have the ability to collect and organize multiple code blocks into a single note, as well as embed code blocks directly within normal notes or create separate snippet-type notes that are designed specifically for this purpose. In addition to that, it is capable of managing tasks using checkbox-based lists. A brand new open-source application for taking notes, Boostnote is geared specifically toward computer programmers. Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Apple's macOS are the supported operating systems. It is built on electron, and the operation itself takes place offline.

Notejoy reviews

What I love most about it is the flexibility and the many kind of notes you can take. Also, I love the responsive customer support.

The dashboard is friendly to use so you can dive straight in. It's a really helpful tool which you can use everyday or to organise project notes in work sprints.

Since the day I signed up for Notejoy, I've been hooked to it! To say Notejoy is a great online notebook app is quite an understatement; it's absolutely my favorite productivity tool and note-taking app!

Boostnote reviews

This is note-taking software at its best, pure and simple; this from someone who has used oh so many note taking applications. If you are looking for a useful note-taking tool, whether it is for school, research, work, etc, this is that application. It is very streamlined, cross-platform (love that it runs on Linux, Windows, and Mac), and extremely simple to use, it is highly configurable and while it has a rich feature set, it isn't bloated like other note taking apps. This application along with Cryptomator is literal note-taking heaven, I have all of my notes in a secure format right in the cloud.

Brilliant design, fast working, but that's all. It's only about programming and for programmers, allows keep organized snippets.

- M_O_Z_G

It is a very nice and easy to use application. Has a pleasant design, and it allows you to use markdown for your notes. Files can be stored either on the computer or on the cloud.
