“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“
Sir Richard Branson
The advertising doesn’t bother me in this app because it will not cut in front but is showing after the job is done. I don’t scan a lot so limit of 5 for free is ok FOR ME. If I need extra I can wait patiently until the next day. Thanks for developing this tool. A previous bug I reported was fixed so again thank you.!Elqueced

A fan but unconvinced that the subscription model justifies the continual spend I have used Ulysses for approximately five years and bought several versions of the app before the change to the subscription model. While there is no debate about Ulysses quality, my doubt has increased in relation to the subscription cost to new feature ratio.Bondidiver
Ulysses is a minimalist, distraction-free writing app that supports short and long-form projects. Bloggers, authors, and content creators use it to write articles, books, and more. Released in 2011, it’s also the recipient of an Apple design award.
Pretty intuitive UI and works well for what I use it for. -That was a first impression. This app's 'bang for the buck' is great! Try it out for several days. If you like it, it can replace other bloated apps that take up storage space. -Here for a 3rd impression. Only 4 scans per day sucks. Not advertising the fact sucks harder. It'd also be helpful if, during each scan, the user would see a message like "You've got # scans left in this free version. Upgrade to avoid this."
- Stan Fisher
Initially it used to work perfectly fine but now it always shows an error message that 'please check your internet connection/upgrade your app.' Now the connection is finea and i don't want to upgrade it to premium version, so why does the app doesn't work?? Please don't cheat people, tell them clearly that app is unusable in free version after whatever time you decide. Honesty is the best policy!

This is very useful app for text scanning by camera and gallery pics. Developers and the team must be appreciated for their dedication. I wanna give 5 star

I have used Ulysses for approximately five years and bought several versions of the app before the change to the subscription model. While there is no debate about Ulysses quality, my doubt has increased in relation to the subscription cost to new feature ratio. For example compare an office 365 annual account. While I like Ulysses, the subscription model increases the onus on providing value. I remain unconvinced. For example, in the latest version 13 the creators flaunt things like highlighting keywords and a target to set writing goals. Sure this is useful, but is it valuable in comparison to say, pinch to zoom. Something that seems pretty low on the evolutionary scale for iOS and macOS but remains absent in the Ulysses feature set across all IOS and MacOS.
I use Ulysses for organising my thoughts, my website (blog posts), my first book (now with the publishers), and am also using it for writing an online course and for my second book. Love how I can switch between phone, ipad and mac. Love using markdown, setting goals and colour coded keywords. Just wish it had support for tables, as I have to switch to Google Sheets for those. It’s a clean, simple, beautiful, adaptable and reliable - thanks team Ulysses!

One of my favourites! Writing is a difficult thing to do, and so removing as much friction as possible can really help. You don’t need to complicate things. This is why I love Ulysses - it’s simple enough that it allows me to focus on the important bit: the words. And yet it’s powerful enough to adapt and become a real workhorse when I need to do more than just write. Seriously, just use it for a while and you’ll see. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
