OpenKM is a platform that has matured over the years and has been able to update its look and feel while maintaining and incorporating features that are currently in demand, in addition to offering robust integrations for document flow management, and electronic signature, among others.
Pascual G.OpenKM is an open source Electronic Document and Records management system, designed to collaborate and manage documents and content at the enterprise level. It provides features to manage the complete life cycle of documents (classification tools, live edit, version control, communication tools) and implement business processes (automation, workflows, OCR, scanner client, digital signature). It has no technical barriers to connect with 3rd party apps and has modules to meet specific needs.
The options are great for keeping platform users informed of changes. I really like the option of status indicators. It's perfect for keeping my users up to date on what's new. The platform is intuitive, organized, allows us to build our documentation the way we want. A lot of things are configurable and it leaves room for imagination and customization. I really like the public and private documentation option. It is very convenient for our organization.

We use the software to maintain bills received from our facilities over 2 states. We have to keep everything for at least 2 years before compacting and archiving with the ability to pull up documents on the fly. We currently have roughly 200,000 PDFs in OpenKM and the only lag comes from Adobe. We are running it on an in-house VM with very little resource usage and have had almost no problems.
