Each note is AES-256 encrypted, with the title serving as the encryption key. The encrypted message is then index in a database using the title's SHA-256 hash. The title is never revealed because SHA-256 is a one-way function and the process happens in your browser; as a result, neither the website owner nor the web host (AWS) can access the plaintext contents of any note (unless the note is encrypted).
