"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."Sir Richard Branson
Very good! As an elementary school English as a second language teacher, I find that many of Mobile Education Stores' apps are great. I use Rainbow Sentences because it has students think carefully about constructing grammatically correct sentences in a colorful and playful way. In the settings menu the teacher can scaffold the sentence building so that beginning kindergarteners all the way up to around the end of second grade level students can be challenged and successful. When the students correctly answer, there are some funny animated characters that come out and cheer for them. Likewise, there are words of encouragement if they answer incorrectly. The app has a statistics page so you can monitor the students' progress. One problem I have with the app is that you cannot go from a sentence that you are building to the settings or statistics page until/unless you correctly build the sentence. This creates unnecessary hassle if you want to quickly check-in on a student's progress or change the difficulty.

Sentence construction is a fundamental obstacle in reading instruction for children. English can be difficult for beginners to understand, especially at first. But Rainbow Sentences is here to support you. The software assists your child in learning how to create English phrases in a simple-to-understand manner by using tools like color-coded vocabulary, text-to-speech, and lesson plans that use pictures instead of words. To improve the process, it even allows students to record themselves saying the lines and play the recordings back. I suggest Rainbow Sentences if your youngster has trouble putting together entire sentences. Rainbow Sentences is available on the Apple App Store. To enhance their receptive and expressive language abilities, students can record their sentences in their own voices.
Dyslexia Gold is like nothing I have used before and has shown vast improvements with a variety of age groups. With some children the age gap had hugely reduced, one child by 62 months in only two terms. Quite amazing! The children are more willing to read aloud, often asking to do so, and their class teachers and parents have all commented how they have seen their confidence grow in all areas of school work.

This is an app that I use a lot. Kyle Tomson has created another great app that follow along in the same style as his previous ones. This app allows you not only to keep data on student progress but you can adjust the level of difficulty. I love that you can even adapt within each level by turning on or off color coding and word grouping. This makes each of the three complexity levels actually have 9 options . ..if I did my math right! Click here to read more and watch the video tutorial.

Spelling Tutor has really made a huge impact on our spelling results and we have rolled it out across the whole school now, regardless of ability or SEND status. It now forms an integral part of our day for regular spelling and reading repeated practice. It uses spaced repetition to focus on what words individuals needs to learn sequentially. It caters for all learners, including spelling words from Y5/6 NC lists. When used in Y4-Y6, all children improved their spelling ages, some from 5 years to over 12 years in 1 academic year and during lockdown.
- Carla Thom
We are really impressed with the data results. A 9 year old with a reading age of 4 years 9 months made 27 months progress and now has a reading age of 7 years!
- Stacey Evans
The impact has been very impressive, with reading ages and speeds making significant improvements. Children have enjoyed accessing the intervention and look forward to their daily session. They are also pleased with how their reading has improved and are rightly very proud of themselves.
