Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.

Remind reviews

They've recently changed the character count so even individual messages are limited to 140 characters. The 140 character limit for whole group announcements was Remind's biggest flaw - making that applicable to individual messages as well means it is not longer useful at all. I can't limit all my communications with students to 140 characters and I can't ask them to receive 2 or 3 or more texts every time we communicate. I will be researching and finding another service for the fall. (It also sucks that they are implementing this in the middle of the school year.

"Effective Solution for Large Group Communication" What do you like best about Remind? Remind is an effective and easy-to-use solution for large group communication. The ability to schedule messages ahead of time as well as add and remove people from groups easily makes it ideal for our setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Remind? You cannot remove group leaders from a group even after they have left the organization. It requires us to start a new group when one of the leaders leaves. This makes it difficult when we have new leaders every year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Remind: Remind meets all of our needs for large group communication. It is moderately priced and works well for our educational setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Remind solving and how is that benefiting you? We are solving the problem of getting messages and links out to everyone quickly. This allows us to avoid large group texts, especially with and without iphones. It will enable us to send messages without bothering everyone with responses.

"Two-Way Communication Messages with Remind" What do you like best about Remind? Remind allows our school and district personnel to communicate with parents and other community members through text messages. I like that the product can auto-translate messages into other languages based upon the end-user's preferred language. I also like that the product enables me to schedule outgoing messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Remind? I wish the product allowed me to schedule messages at the district level. I can currently schedule outgoing messages at the individual schools, but that requires me to copy and paste my content into the platform several times if I want to broadcast district-wide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Remind solving and how is that benefiting you? We can communicate with our stakeholders via two-way messaging, giving us the ability to send messages and answer any questions related to that outgoing content. Since Remind uses SMS text messages, we can often contact parents and caregivers who we could not reach by phone or email in the past.

Edx reviews

"World class education without leaving your home." What do you like best about edX? 1. Getting world-class education for free from the top-ranked universities and world-class faculties. 2. As a freelance web developer, I acquired the majority of my skills from this platform for free. It provided me with all the materials and practice assignments that helped me gain my skills, and I became confident. 3. One can pay an additional amount to get certificates for completed courses by you and showcase that in your resume. 4. When you opt for a paid subscription, your assignments will be reviewed by one of the world's best professors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about edX? 1. Subscription and certificate charges are similar for every country. It should be different for different countries as purchase power parity is lower in poor in developing and under-developed countries. 2. edX is only involved with STEM related subjects and you won't find courses like bakery, photography etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is edX solving and how is that benefiting you? 1. I am a freelance web developer, and I learned most of the skills required to become a successful freelancer from edX. 2. edX was a turning point in my career as it provided me the structred learning from one of the world's most prestigious universities and great faculties and it made me focus on learning without worrying about quality of content.

edX (free) (Pricing Varies By Course at edX)(Opens in a new window) does not look like a university. There is no campus, no library, no dormitories, and no tuition. Founded in the spring of 2012 by faculty at MIT and Harvard, edX is very much the wunderkind of academics. Its courses are supplied by some of the world's most prestigious institutions, including UC Berkeley, Boston University, as well as both founding institutions. However, with several million students, edX serves a larger learning community than the entire UC system. But make no mistake, edX is no university-killer. While participants can audit classes and earn proof of enrollment (Honor Code Certificates) for free, edX does not offer the credentialing, networking, or communal experience of a traditional university. Instead, think of edX as a platform that enables admittedly large and well-heeled universities to reach traditional and non-traditional students alike. Typically, those learners are adults interested in the sciences, but that is expanding, thanks to a high school initiative and professional education program.

"Benefits of EdX" What do you like best about edX? EdX provides side spectrum of free and paid cources, curated by the top coaches of the field. These cources are time bound but you can do it with your own pace and get certified international after completing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about edX? Industry specific specific cources are not available and we cannot request cources to the website. There are very few cources on the architecture and planning industry. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is edX solving and how is that benefiting you? EdX is great for certified cources for me and my employees. It has helped me solve problem like social media marketing, python coding and branding for my business.
