Highly Customisable Communications Platform which is easy to use What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? The most important part of implementing a communication platform in an organization is its ease of use and rocket. chat does it so well while being fully customisable. The use cases become endless, from communication within an organization to communication within two different organizations, making sure at the same time that it's simple to use. As an admin, it was easier to operate compared to others and customer support is always available to help you out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? Rocket.chat in itself has nothing that we disliked, apart from a few bugs, which I hope will be fixed in upcoming iterations, and inconsistency in notifications received on mobile phones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? Helped our clients' organization, to communicate in a better and more fluid way, both within the organization as well as with other organizations as well. Such a smooth communication process definitely leads to being more productive than before, which in turn impressed both our clients.Mayank G.

Built for organizations that need more control over their communications, it enables collaboration between colleagues, partners, customers, communities, and even platforms without compromises on data ownership, customizations or integrations. Tens of millions of users in over 150 countries and organizations such as Deutsche Bahn, The US Navy, and Credit Suisse trust Rocket.Chat every day to keep their communications completely private and secure.
This is the point where you might think Rocket.Chat has potential, and it does. If only the developers could obscure some of the more advanced features. If you choose to offer all of the features in the most expensive plan, there’s a chance your team won’t even want to use the app because it feels cluttered. You might think more technical teams would want more technical features, but perhaps there’s an even greater need for straightforward communication. In the end, Rocket.Chat is a technical achievement but contrary to clean and efficient chats.John Brandon

"Quick Communication Tool" What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? One of the things I like about this tool is easy to add a new server or as many servers as we like depending on the work that we have with different stakeholders. It makes it so easy to create different communication channels which is very handy when we have multiple projects to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? The UI can be improved a bit and the mobile experience can able be worked on. Using it from a mobile device can be troublesome sometimes when we are in hurry and want to message someone instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? We are basically using this to have internal / client communication with our core and client teams. It has made it easy to have different communication channels/servers as per need.

What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? It's too cost effective and keep my whole team on desktop, android, ios and web. it keeps everyone of us connected

"RocketChat - Great for Big Companies" What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? The application itself is open-source, so it has a multitude of capabilities. It's also decently secure, and you can share sensitive data over it as long as the system admins and coders that set it up for you know what they are doing. It has a massive amount of addons and what-not. It's overall an excellent tool to use for teamwork. It's the best free alternative to slack and others like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? I wouldn't say I like that it does not have a built-in dark theme customizatioin; not only that, even the more trivial customizations you might want to have required at least basic knowledge of coding or something akin to that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Rocket.Chat: It's a pretty decent application to use for businesses. It has many different functions and the ability to accommodate almost any needs of your particular niche in industry. But I have to say it's not the neatest and easiest to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? We use it on a daily basis to work with the most sensitive data there is, like medical records, personnel files, private information of individuals. It allows us to create different teams who can communicate separately about their own specific niche in a private separate room/channel.

Great quick app. Buggy at first but now pretty stable. Real test will be this week. If it doesn't freeze or slow down with a week of major market moving data coming I would call it stable. Once I got the hang of the features the app really grew on me for ease of use while mobile. It handles trading view copies perfect, easy commands to group or direct message. Seems like they are now adding features after the recent version upgrade also.
- Gregory M.
It's nice to know the app is in heavy development, but it doesn't bode well for it's reliability and bugginess. Every once in a while an update will break things, and everyone in our company has problems with mobile push notifications problems all the time, on Android and iOS. Sometimes they work pretty well then get completely broken. I often switch between the experimental and official app, but not in a fun way. EDIT: I'm now having to force stop and restart the app more than 10 times a day.
- Luke Box
I feel like this app is very laggy and inconsistent it has a hard time distubuting messages properly. They will send a message and I won't receive it till much later. And it's just the app. The desktop version dose not have this bug. I'm also unable to upload photos from my phone to the chat, even though it very clearly thinks it can.

It's easy to use and to create and public and private channel for communication
The API is easy to integrate and we can have good control over the software as an administrator
It also allows us to create groups/channel if we need to communicate to an entire department
UXUI is bad
It can be integrated with few apps such as SharePoint, so we don't get status updates when in a meeting
It should also have the feature of voice calls which is missing.
Free version for public chat
Some powerful features
Confusing interface and install process
Some features seem underdeveloped
Tiered versions lead to more confusion
