Highly Customisable Communications Platform which is easy to use What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? The most important part of implementing a communication platform in an organization is its ease of use and rocket. chat does it so well while being fully customisable. The use cases become endless, from communication within an organization to communication within two different organizations, making sure at the same time that it's simple to use. As an admin, it was easier to operate compared to others and customer support is always available to help you out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? Rocket.chat in itself has nothing that we disliked, apart from a few bugs, which I hope will be fixed in upcoming iterations, and inconsistency in notifications received on mobile phones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? Helped our clients' organization, to communicate in a better and more fluid way, both within the organization as well as with other organizations as well. Such a smooth communication process definitely leads to being more productive than before, which in turn impressed both our clients.
Mayank G.Rocket.Chat is the world's largest open source communications platform. Built for organizations that need more control over their communications, it enables collaboration between colleagues, partners, customers, communities, and even platforms without compromises on data ownership, customizations or integrations. Tens of millions of users in over 150 countries and organizations such as Deutsche Bahn, The US Navy, and Credit Suisse trust Rocket.Chat every day to keep their communications completely private and secure.
Signal is clearly one of the leading secure messaging apps available today. While some people dislike the requirement to register with a phone number, the design of the whole system is such that it is hard to see this as a major problem. I have no qualms about recommending Signal to anyone investigating encrypted messaging services for personal use.
Heinrich LongEvery day, millions of users use Signal for cost-free, immediate communication with anyone in the globe. Send and receive high-fidelity messages, take part in HD voice and video chats, and discover an ever-expanding range of additional services that make it easier for you to stay in touch. You can concentrate on sharing the moments that matter with the people who matter to you because Signal's cutting-edge privacy-preserving technology is always on. Say whatever you want since your conversations are protected by cutting-edge end-to-end encryption (enabled by the open source Signal ProtocolTM). Signal operates in such a way that privacy is not an optional mode. Every time there is a message or a call. • Move rapidly — Even on slow networks, messages are reliably and quickly delivered. Signal is designed to function in the most restricted setting possible. Signal is a totally independent 501c3 nonprofit, so feel free to use it. Users like you help to support development. Ads are not present. 0 trackers. I'm serious. • Be yourself - To safely contact your pals, you can use your current phone number and address book. • Speak up - Signal's improved audio and video quality will make your friends and family feel closer, whether they are across town or across the seas. • Whisper in the shadows - If you don't want to see the light, pick the dark theme. Sound familiar? Customize notifications for individual contact or turn off noise altogether. By selecting "None" as your notification ringtone, you can listen to quiet whenever you choose, much like Simon & Garfunkel did in their 1964 famous song about it. • Imagine this - You can draw on, crop, and flip your exported photographs using the built-in image editing tools. Even a text tool is available so you can supplement the 1,000 words your image currently contains.
"Quick Communication Tool" What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? One of the things I like about this tool is easy to add a new server or as many servers as we like depending on the work that we have with different stakeholders. It makes it so easy to create different communication channels which is very handy when we have multiple projects to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? The UI can be improved a bit and the mobile experience can able be worked on. Using it from a mobile device can be troublesome sometimes when we are in hurry and want to message someone instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? We are basically using this to have internal / client communication with our core and client teams. It has made it easy to have different communication channels/servers as per need.

"RocketChat - Great for Big Companies" What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? The application itself is open-source, so it has a multitude of capabilities. It's also decently secure, and you can share sensitive data over it as long as the system admins and coders that set it up for you know what they are doing. It has a massive amount of addons and what-not. It's overall an excellent tool to use for teamwork. It's the best free alternative to slack and others like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? I wouldn't say I like that it does not have a built-in dark theme customizatioin; not only that, even the more trivial customizations you might want to have required at least basic knowledge of coding or something akin to that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Rocket.Chat: It's a pretty decent application to use for businesses. It has many different functions and the ability to accommodate almost any needs of your particular niche in industry. But I have to say it's not the neatest and easiest to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? We use it on a daily basis to work with the most sensitive data there is, like medical records, personnel files, private information of individuals. It allows us to create different teams who can communicate separately about their own specific niche in a private separate room/channel.

It's one of the most recognizable secure messenger platform out there. Runs smoothly, without any real problems. It's probably doesn't have much in terms of problems due to it's simplicity. There is no video chat or voice chat so there's a lot to be desired if you want more. Telegram or Element, would be better for those seeking more then text communication.

Signal is a great high security messaging tool, everyone should use it. And it's gotten better over time. One small easy way for people to claw back some digital privacy. Capabilities have improved over time. NOTE: if you care about preserving your text history, be sure to read about how to back it up and also save that file to a device off your phone! {Looking at you Secret Service}

Great app! Awesome to see privacy and security rolled into a single, non-profit messaging app, especially given messaging apps are mostly drop-in replacements for each other. One feature request: the ability to take photos in-app to add to messages (as most messaging apps allow for) rather than having to open up a camera app, take a photo separately, and then append the photo to a message in Signal. Also, the audio on phone calls is frequently quite bad and cuts out... Otherwise, great app!

Pros |
---|
It's easy to use and to create and public and private channel for communication |
The API is easy to integrate and we can have good control over the software as an administrator |
It also allows us to create groups/channel if we need to communicate to an entire department |
Cons |
---|
UXUI is bad |
It can be integrated with few apps such as SharePoint, so we don't get status updates when in a meeting |
It should also have the feature of voice calls which is missing. |
Pros |
---|
Designed from the ground up to be nothing but a secure messaging platform |
It’s not oddly hacked onto an existing platform |
Fully open source. |
Cons |
---|
Not widely used or known |
Requires your phone number for contact discovery |
Anyone intent on tracking your internet use can see you’re using Signal |
However, they won’t be able to read your messages. |
