“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“
Sir Richard Branson
It has been great. But I have not been able to change the speed in the past few weeks, and the voice has is only the man's. I would change the speed to fast, but it would read at "normal". When I check the options, it's snapped back to normal.Adora Tsang
A high-quality text-to-speech reader that can read large amounts of text with ease. Other text-to-speech extensions are bloated, slow, and frequently flaky—they can't read more than about 250 characters at a time without cutting out! Not to mention the dubious permissions they necessitate. Selection Reader is easy to use, fast, and can read a large amount of text at once. Simply select the text and right-click it!See how Speechify compares with Selection Reader (Text to Speech)
Great for quickly reading websites Reading Wikipedia articles is great! I love the shuffle function to find something interesting to listen to while running.Nitr231
This program reads out text pages and is totally free and available exclusively for iPhone or iPad (sorry). You may either paste text into the app directly or choose to use the Wikipedia button to search for Wikipedia articles that you'd rather listen to than read. Not every language has a wide range of voices, and it must be said that not all voices sound as pleasant or as natural as I would prefer, but this is just such an easy tool when you're driving your car, walking or running, waiting for a plane... The app also works offline, once the text is pasted in. It reads aloud in 27 languages, from Arabic to Turkish, including most European languages as well as Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and more. Simple player controls let you jump back and forth, alter the speed, or repeat even when the device is locked. Only the iPhone and iPad Software Store has access to this app. For the time being, it is cost-free and ad-free. excellent for speed-reading webpages It's fun to read Wikipedia pages! I adore using the shuffle feature to discover new music to listen to while running.See how Speechify compares with iPlayText
It works great, very helpful for long textbook readings. Though for some reason the reader will pause before moving on to the next line unless there a word is broken up. If it could get fixed, that would be perfect. If it doesn't that's okay too, I'll just work with it.

It's great, works like a charm and a good amount of options. No complaints, though it isn't perfect, nothing is.
- Daniel McSween
perfect. audio quality is best of all the text to speech extensions.
- Vijaybala Studios
Really cool idea! The app makes it easy to search for Wikipedia articles and load them to be read. You can download more voices from the system settings app. It does take some getting used to the voice. Siri sounds great but for some reason Apple hasn’t made the same improvements to the accessibility voiceover.
Nice app. Would be perfect if we can be able to export voice data?

I am frequently multi-tasking. This app lets me do that. I copy and paste news articles while I respond to my emails and text messages.
