“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“
Sir Richard Branson
Signal is clearly one of the leading secure messaging apps available today. While some people dislike the requirement to register with a phone number, the design of the whole system is such that it is hard to see this as a major problem. I have no qualms about recommending Signal to anyone investigating encrypted messaging services for personal use.
Heinrich LongEvery day, millions of users use Signal for cost-free, immediate communication with anyone in the globe. Send and receive high-fidelity messages, take part in HD voice and video chats, and discover an ever-expanding range of additional services that make it easier for you to stay in touch. You can concentrate on sharing the moments that matter with the people who matter to you because Signal's cutting-edge privacy-preserving technology is always on. Say whatever you want since your conversations are protected by cutting-edge end-to-end encryption (enabled by the open source Signal ProtocolTM). Signal operates in such a way that privacy is not an optional mode. Every time there is a message or a call. • Move rapidly — Even on slow networks, messages are reliably and quickly delivered. Signal is designed to function in the most restricted setting possible. Signal is a totally independent 501c3 nonprofit, so feel free to use it. Users like you help to support development. Ads are not present. 0 trackers. I'm serious. • Be yourself - To safely contact your pals, you can use your current phone number and address book. • Speak up - Signal's improved audio and video quality will make your friends and family feel closer, whether they are across town or across the seas. • Whisper in the shadows - If you don't want to see the light, pick the dark theme. Sound familiar? Customize notifications for individual contact or turn off noise altogether. By selecting "None" as your notification ringtone, you can listen to quiet whenever you choose, much like Simon & Garfunkel did in their 1964 famous song about it. • Imagine this - You can draw on, crop, and flip your exported photographs using the built-in image editing tools. Even a text tool is available so you can supplement the 1,000 words your image currently contains.
Installed this app just for this review, for one this is exactly like discord but from other reviews far buggier, and also everyone already has discord,so this app is going to be really empty of users and why would a discord user switch to a more buggy, less populated, version of the same thing ?
Jacob RauschGeneva is a group communication app designed for organized, ongoing conversations with all your favorite people. Join or create a "home" for your group and set up a mix of chat, forum, audio, video, and broadcast rooms for different topics. Whether you're aimlessly hanging with best friends, keeping your club members on the same page, or sharing opinions with peers across the country — there’s a place for everyone here. Here are a few of the highlights: HOMES & ROOMS Set up "homes" for your groups, then create "rooms" inside them for different topics or sub-groups. Rooms can be open or secret, and because everyone can adjust their notification settings for each one, people can tune into the conversations they care about and tune out the rest. There are 5 different kinds of rooms you can use... CHAT ROOMS Full-featured chat rooms with @ mentions, threaded replies, emoji reactions, GIFs, attachments, polls, events, pins, typing indicators, and more... FORUM ROOMS These post-style rooms are more organized than chat rooms, making them great for announcements and deeper discussion. Create long-form posts with rich formatting, comment and react, and sort and filter the room by most recent, most popular, and more... AUDIO ROOMS If you'd rather talk than type and read, you can create an audio room in your home and jump in with a tap whenever the mood strikes. Think of it like a big group phone call, but way easier. VIDEO ROOMS Hop in a video room and hang out with up to 16 people at once. With screensharing built in, these are great for small events and more casual get-togethers. BROADCAST ROOMS Go live on video with up to 9 people on stage and thousands of viewers to call on-air. Use these for things like chapter meetings, casual panels, DIY tutorials, live-reacts, and more... DMs Because sometimes you just want to start a private side convo. EVENTS CALENDAR With event invites and a centralized calendar, it's easy to share info, gather RSVPs, and get reminders to hop on. Events can take place right in your Geneva home, IRL, or anywhere else online. GATES Use gates to control access to your Geneva home. Our built-in new member questionnaire helps you gather info about potential members and decide if they're a good fit — no need to use a separate survey tool. Age, nickname, entry fee, and more gates coming soon. ROLES & PERMISSIONS Set up roles to control who can and can't do things like invite other people, create rooms, moderate messages, and more... NO ADS & NO SELLING YOUR DATA Ever. Instead, we're building a bunch of exciting features that'll make it really easy for people on Geneva to transact with one another, and when that happens, we'll keep 5% (more info on this coming soon). ACTUAL ACCOUNTABILITY Because everyone signs up with a phone number, not an email address, blocks and bans are easier to enforce so there’s less room for trolling and abuse (but don't worry, we won't share or display your phone number anywhere). We also give you the ability to set your home's rules and tools to help you enforce them. DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE Geneva is great for all kinds of social groups: friends & families, school clubs, sports teams, movements, fraternities and sororities, creators & fans, coaches & students, professional networks, brand communities, interest groups, and more... And this is just the beginning: We're working together to build something that's fun, safe and useful, and we'll be adding new features all the time. If you have suggestions, questions, or feedback, drop us a note at [email protected] Made with love in New York City and beyond.
It's one of the most recognizable secure messenger platform out there. Runs smoothly, without any real problems. It's probably doesn't have much in terms of problems due to it's simplicity. There is no video chat or voice chat so there's a lot to be desired if you want more. Telegram or Element, would be better for those seeking more then text communication.

Signal is a great high security messaging tool, everyone should use it. And it's gotten better over time. One small easy way for people to claw back some digital privacy. Capabilities have improved over time. NOTE: if you care about preserving your text history, be sure to read about how to back it up and also save that file to a device off your phone! {Looking at you Secret Service}

Great app! Awesome to see privacy and security rolled into a single, non-profit messaging app, especially given messaging apps are mostly drop-in replacements for each other. One feature request: the ability to take photos in-app to add to messages (as most messaging apps allow for) rather than having to open up a camera app, take a photo separately, and then append the photo to a message in Signal. Also, the audio on phone calls is frequently quite bad and cuts out... Otherwise, great app!

If you run an online community and are frustrated with Slack’s pricing model and Discord’s lack of features, check out Geneva. Chat, posts, video, audio, and moderator tools that are actually useable. It’s free, and supposedly will stay free. Great work @geneva

Been using Geneva to keep in touch with my friend group for awhile now - been a breathe of fresh air really compared to other group messaging apps we had tried before. Looking forward to what's to come!
