Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.

Signal Private Messenger reviews

It's one of the most recognizable secure messenger platform out there. Runs smoothly, without any real problems. It's probably doesn't have much in terms of problems due to it's simplicity. There is no video chat or voice chat so there's a lot to be desired if you want more. Telegram or Element, would be better for those seeking more then text communication.

Signal is a great high security messaging tool, everyone should use it. And it's gotten better over time. One small easy way for people to claw back some digital privacy. Capabilities have improved over time. NOTE: if you care about preserving your text history, be sure to read about how to back it up and also save that file to a device off your phone! {Looking at you Secret Service}

- Charlie Fellenbaum

Great app! Awesome to see privacy and security rolled into a single, non-profit messaging app, especially given messaging apps are mostly drop-in replacements for each other. One feature request: the ability to take photos in-app to add to messages (as most messaging apps allow for) rather than having to open up a camera app, take a photo separately, and then append the photo to a message in Signal. Also, the audio on phone calls is frequently quite bad and cuts out... Otherwise, great app!

Rocket.Chat reviews

"Quick Communication Tool" What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? One of the things I like about this tool is easy to add a new server or as many servers as we like depending on the work that we have with different stakeholders. It makes it so easy to create different communication channels which is very handy when we have multiple projects to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? The UI can be improved a bit and the mobile experience can able be worked on. Using it from a mobile device can be troublesome sometimes when we are in hurry and want to message someone instantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? We are basically using this to have internal / client communication with our core and client teams. It has made it easy to have different communication channels/servers as per need.

Migrating to another server is problematic sometimes. so only thig I disliked is about migrating to another server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? It's too cost effective and keep my whole team on desktop, android, ios and web. it keeps everyone of us connected

"RocketChat - Great for Big Companies" What do you like best about Rocket.Chat? The application itself is open-source, so it has a multitude of capabilities. It's also decently secure, and you can share sensitive data over it as long as the system admins and coders that set it up for you know what they are doing. It has a massive amount of addons and what-not. It's overall an excellent tool to use for teamwork. It's the best free alternative to slack and others like it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rocket.Chat? I wouldn't say I like that it does not have a built-in dark theme customizatioin; not only that, even the more trivial customizations you might want to have required at least basic knowledge of coding or something akin to that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Rocket.Chat: It's a pretty decent application to use for businesses. It has many different functions and the ability to accommodate almost any needs of your particular niche in industry. But I have to say it's not the neatest and easiest to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Rocket.Chat solving and how is that benefiting you? We use it on a daily basis to work with the most sensitive data there is, like medical records, personnel files, private information of individuals. It allows us to create different teams who can communicate separately about their own specific niche in a private separate room/channel.

Pros & cons

Signal Private Messenger

Pros
Designed from the ground up to be nothing but a secure messaging platform
It’s not oddly hacked onto an existing platform
Fully open source.

Cons
Not widely used or known
Requires your phone number for contact discovery
Anyone intent on tracking your internet use can see you’re using Signal
However, they won’t be able to read your messages.

Rocket.Chat

Pros
It's easy to use and to create and public and private channel for communication
The API is easy to integrate and we can have good control over the software as an administrator
It also allows us to create groups/channel if we need to communicate to an entire department

Cons
UXUI is bad
It can be integrated with few apps such as SharePoint, so we don't get status updates when in a meeting
It should also have the feature of voice calls which is missing.
