“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“

Signal is clearly one of the leading secure messaging apps available today. While some people dislike the requirement to register with a phone number, the design of the whole system is such that it is hard to see this as a major problem. I have no qualms about recommending Signal to anyone investigating encrypted messaging services for personal use.
Heinrich LongEvery day, millions of users use Signal for cost-free, immediate communication with anyone in the globe. Send and receive high-fidelity messages, take part in HD voice and video chats, and discover an ever-expanding range of additional services that make it easier for you to stay in touch. You can concentrate on sharing the moments that matter with the people who matter to you because Signal's cutting-edge privacy-preserving technology is always on. Say whatever you want since your conversations are protected by cutting-edge end-to-end encryption (enabled by the open source Signal ProtocolTM). Signal operates in such a way that privacy is not an optional mode. Every time there is a message or a call. • Move rapidly — Even on slow networks, messages are reliably and quickly delivered. Signal is designed to function in the most restricted setting possible. Signal is a totally independent 501c3 nonprofit, so feel free to use it. Users like you help to support development. Ads are not present. 0 trackers. I'm serious. • Be yourself - To safely contact your pals, you can use your current phone number and address book. • Speak up - Signal's improved audio and video quality will make your friends and family feel closer, whether they are across town or across the seas. • Whisper in the shadows - If you don't want to see the light, pick the dark theme. Sound familiar? Customize notifications for individual contact or turn off noise altogether. By selecting "None" as your notification ringtone, you can listen to quiet whenever you choose, much like Simon & Garfunkel did in their 1964 famous song about it. • Imagine this - You can draw on, crop, and flip your exported photographs using the built-in image editing tools. Even a text tool is available so you can supplement the 1,000 words your image currently contains.
Grouping by sender/participants into reasonable threads is the best feature I've seen in an email client and the single feature that helps me bulk-manage newsletters I wanted to catch up on but wasn't able to, or notifications from the same service. It makes cleaning your and reducing unread messages by HUNDREDS a piece of cake. Spike saves me from drowning in dozens of emails coming every day.
Cezar P.Spike is the future of email. The Spike app transforms your inbox into a chat-like interface and brings all your messaging, collaboration, tasks, and video/audio calls into one place. Instead of app-switching to check off a task or create a meeting agenda, Spike's powerful Inbox gives you all the tools you need in a single workflow. Making it extremely simple to get your work done, communicate with team members/clients, stay organized and stay productive. Spike makes it easy to collaborate and manage—Email, to-do lists, tasks, Notes, Group Chats, docs, and way more -all from your inbox!
It's one of the most recognizable secure messenger platform out there. Runs smoothly, without any real problems. It's probably doesn't have much in terms of problems due to it's simplicity. There is no video chat or voice chat so there's a lot to be desired if you want more. Telegram or Element, would be better for those seeking more then text communication.

Signal is a great high security messaging tool, everyone should use it. And it's gotten better over time. One small easy way for people to claw back some digital privacy. Capabilities have improved over time. NOTE: if you care about preserving your text history, be sure to read about how to back it up and also save that file to a device off your phone! {Looking at you Secret Service}

Great app! Awesome to see privacy and security rolled into a single, non-profit messaging app, especially given messaging apps are mostly drop-in replacements for each other. One feature request: the ability to take photos in-app to add to messages (as most messaging apps allow for) rather than having to open up a camera app, take a photo separately, and then append the photo to a message in Signal. Also, the audio on phone calls is frequently quite bad and cuts out... Otherwise, great app!

Spike makes inbox zero nearly effortless, with easy mass archive and trash and built-in unsubscribe and blocking. Organizing by conversation participants and presenting the thread like a chat conversation fixes the problem I've had with virtually every other email client where you can't tell which direction the conversation is going or where the newest message is. It just makes sense.

Everything works: unified inbox, signature customization, hot keys, thread view for emails, and Google contacts integration. Making email for my business impossibly simple and fast.
- Chad M. Insurance Producer
My favorite part is that I don't spend half my day cleaning up my inbox and Imreally love the display contact feature that not only lets you see name and photo of sender but all previous emails in the side panel too! I've been trying out others but Spike leave the rest behind

Pros |
---|
Designed from the ground up to be nothing but a secure messaging platform |
It’s not oddly hacked onto an existing platform |
Fully open source. |
Cons |
---|
Not widely used or known |
Requires your phone number for contact discovery |
Anyone intent on tracking your internet use can see you’re using Signal |
However, they won’t be able to read your messages. |
Pros |
---|
I really like the clear and clean interface, I love simple and non-confusing things |
It has everything it takes to get into the toolbox of marketing. The way Spike sorts emails is genius |
It turned my inbox into a chat-like experience, where emails are grouped by people and not threads/topics - so it actually feels like I'm using a IM and not an outdated email client.the ability to have it setup on multiple devices so you have access to the information when you need it |
Being able to "PIN" items for quicker access |
also the ability of finding any attachment based on a specific contact. |
Cons |
---|
Some of the more advanced features still need some work |
I'd love to see tagging in notes (so collaboration would be smoother), or the option to add a call link into an invite directly (like in Google Calendar).having the ability to use the "REPLY ALL" being more accessible and not have to hunt for it.Wish there was a way to click on a calendar date in an email and have it added to the Spike Calendar |
Smart email folders might also be useful for Spike. |
