While some people dislike the requirement to register with a phone number, the design of the whole system is such that it is hard to see this as a major problem. I have no qualms about recommending Signal to anyone investigating encrypted messaging services for personal use.

They printed the chats beautifully… like a book. Three, actually. And the voices and videos are in QR codes that you can scan off the book and listen to or watch. Thank you guys so much. It's one of the most recognizable secure messenger platform out there. Runs smoothly, without any real problems. It's probably doesn't have much in terms of problems due to it's simplicity. There is no video chat or voice chat so there's a lot to be desired if you want more. Telegram or Element, would be better for those seeking more then text communication.

Signal is a great high security messaging tool, everyone should use it. And it's gotten better over time. One small easy way for people to claw back some digital privacy. Capabilities have improved over time. NOTE: if you care about preserving your text history, be sure to read about how to back it up and also save that file to a device off your phone! {Looking at you Secret Service}

Great app! Awesome to see privacy and security rolled into a single, non-profit messaging app, especially given messaging apps are mostly drop-in replacements for each other. One feature request: the ability to take photos in-app to add to messages (as most messaging apps allow for) rather than having to open up a camera app, take a photo separately, and then append the photo to a message in Signal. Also, the audio on phone calls is frequently quite bad and cuts out... Otherwise, great app!

Interesting concept, but missed the mark, uploaded couple years worth of chat with videos, pictures, voice... took an hour or 2 to complete only to be told that the pictures videos and voice I would have to add manually, which defeats the purpose of the app. Hopefully they figure it out in the future, but right now unless you're doing a short chat and easily can upload the videos and voice..not worth the time .

This product is top quality - a beautiful book has been received. The communication from the team was excellent also - very prompt replies to all questions. App was easy to use and this gorgeous book documents our love story. Would unhesitatingly recommend.

In all honesty, I found this all a bit average. The app only allows you to do so much and it really needs to be done on a desktop. You have no freedom in making the text bigger or moving the whatsapp message around to space it out - so instead everything was squeezed onto 28 pages and then i had 16 pages or so of blankness. When the book arrived in the post it had been stuffed into the packaging as the front cover and the first 5 or so pages was bent over. It is what it is, but far from impressed and won't use again. On a side note, I wasn't even going to write a review but Zapptales emailed me asking for one...there you go.
