The Voices - are so natural that it is hard to differentiate if they have been spoken by a real person or they are based upon Artificial Intelligence. And the range of voices is mind-boggling. Moreover, by using punctuation marks, you can change the whole tone of the speech and it sounds so natural. The AI engine also offers 3 different tones i.e.Normal, Friendly and Serious The number of voices that comes with the original purchase is too limited. I mean they could have offered additional voices based on how people speak English in different regions/countries.

If I could, I would just sit around reading book after book, day after day. Unfortunately, the real world doesn’t work that way. Voice Dream Reader is a GODSEND for those of us that love books but don’t have the time to sit down and read them. I’m into a lot of indie authors, and while more and more are choosing narration, there will always be books that don’t make it that far. Frankly, after finding this app, I care less about whether or not books make it to audio format at all. I’m able to convert all my Kindle books into the right format to upload to Voice Dream Reader and go! Needless to say, my library is huge and VDR handles it like a pro. I thought I might be bothered by the monotone computer voice, but I find that I completely tune it out and focus on the story at hand. Now, what would I improve? More voices to purchase! “James” is my go-to most of the time, but I would love a larger variety than what is available. Also, if I try to listen to my Reading List through my Apple Watch, I can’t use any of my purchased voices at all. I’m still giving this app five stars because I’ve yet to come across something better and it’s by far one of my best app purchases ever. Keep up the good work!

Voice Dream Reader has two main functions: it converts text to speech and it helps writers proofread their work. Voice Dream Reader can read any text aloud in 30 languages and 186 voices, making it ideal for readers who struggle with dyslexia, vision issues, or simply understand better auditorily. To improve comprehension and retention, words are automatically highlighted on the screen. The user can change the font size, color, and spacing, as well as highlight or take notes. Voice Dream Reader can help writers find the right words by conducting phonetic and meaning searches ("enuf" brings up the word "enough," and "giant water mammal" brings up "whale"). It generates an outline automatically to assist writers in structuring their documents—reordering sections is as simple as dragging and dropping. Proofreading is as simple as listening. When writers hear their work read aloud, they are more likely to notice grammar mistakes, typos, and awkward wording.
