"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."
Sir Richard BransonExcellent app!! I've been using it for the past week due to throat surgery and it's been extremely helpful. If you don't mind me suggesting, I would add a "clear" button to delete all text written, faster and more easily. I would also add a "select sentence" option so that if you want to repeat one it doesn't start from the beginning. I managed to do it once but I couldn't do it again so I think it was not intuitive enough (for me at least). Good job over all

As a PhD student, a large part of my works consists of correspondences, writing papers and scholarly articles… As a person who suffers from Dyslexia, this task was often difficult and time consuming… Ghotit incorporates a contextual and phonetic spell checker, dictionary, and text to speech, all which are essential tools for a person who is dyslexic and whose mother tongue is not English.

English spelling can be challenging and is rife with mistakes. Since the official pronunciation of the term is counter-intuitive and sounds like the word "fish," the word GHOTI is used as an example word to demonstrate these anomalies. Ghotit was founded by people with dyslexia. The goal of Ghotit is to raise a dyslexic person's overall quality of life. Dyslexia cannot be treated with ghotit. It is a collection of services that helps adults and children get over their writing and reading challenges by assisting them in translating their incorrectly spelled writing into standard English. Spell checkers are frequently used by children and people who have learning impairments including dyslexia and dysgraphia. Standard spell and grammar checkers, on the other hand, cater to the demands of the general public, whose spelling is average and whose typing errors lead to spellings that are very similar to the sought word. These spell checkers give users with poor English spelling, such as those with dyslexia, poor results because: The spelling of the printed word is "too far" from the right spelling. No support for confused/out-of-context words — the written word is a real-word that is spelled correctly but is used in the wrong context The customer is not given any aid in choosing the best candidate word The basis of the services Ghotit is providing for persons with dyslexia or dysgraphia and other sorts of learning difficulties is a set of original spelling algorithms that the Ghotit team has created. These algorithms were built with a focus on the issues mentioned above.
When I paste an entire volume of a novel and press play it reads instantly, it even adds another option known as "Speak with talk" when you highlight text on a wiki page or google searches. this is a proper text to speech app. The only problem is, it gets interupted when a notification arrives, now you have to back track where it stopped. Luckily there is a seek which you can use to guess and continue from there.

It sounds pretty natural. I'm happy listening to news articles on this. No intrusive ads. Occasional problem where it tries to open a link hidden somewhere in the text I send it. This can be fixed by pasting as plain text but I would prefer for this to be the default when selecting the app from the share menu. Also I would like a progress bar to see how much is left to play

I've been looking for something like this, oddly enough, I wasn’t having much luck. All I found were apps that were too specific/couldn't read from 3rd party apps, or apps I had to pay for. Then, I came across this little beauty. It's simple & efficient. Good work. Thanks. I've ONE complaint. The read out of highlighted text will randomly stop when played from the context menu but, reads fine if typed (copy/paste, in this case) into the app itself. Aside from that, I've had no problems at all.

Amazing spellchecker! Our daughter’s dysgraphia has been a challenge, but the spellchecker catches almost all of her ‘creative’ spellings

Ghotit is the best thing anybody did for us people who have Dyslexia. It gives me hope to write and be confident that the person who reads does understand what I wrote about… Being an advocate for equal rights and access to education for Dyslexic people, I very strongly recommend Ghotit. Well done guys! You Ghotit!

I have suffered the effects of dyslexia all my life. Your software has opened up a whole new world to me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, for me this software has been like giving a blind man vision.
