Zola has several great features, but without hesitation, the Document Automation feature is absolutely my favorite feature! Whether we are drafting one document or an entire 50-page form packet, this feature saves us a significant amount of time! A close second is the CRM feature - it is wonderful to be able to track referrals, assess percentage of retention, etc. I also like that calendars can be shared among users, emails can be linked to matters, billing is easy to review within the program, and customization of the matter-specific fields, depending on the practice area.

The fact that it is cloud based means not having issues with our server. It has been very robust so far and exceedingly use to use. Still learning some of its functionality but thus far it has been pleasantly easy and worthy of recommendation.

I like that it has calendar, contacts, matters, documents, tasks, time/expense billing, email, CRM, & an 'at a glance' dashboard - many things we need, all in one program. The document assembly is quite simple/user-friendly, & the fields can be adjusted to suit your business's needs. There are various search options to help you locate files or documents or track things. It has some features that help remind you to bill for work done, & help track the amount of time you spent on that task. There are many short YouTube videos that explain how to use various features or accomplish various tasks. I like that emails have an option to save to the file.

Taskworld

Pros
Taskworld is really good for managing projects with many moving parts
The column-task setup lets you organize things visually very well, and the drag-and-drop functionality is great
Chat is set up well and offers all the functions you might want
Direct messaging, team messages, locked/private channels, custom channels, etc
Each task can live in multiple locations and be assigned to multiple people all at the same time
Great for teams with many moving parts.
Cons
Taskworld crashed ALL THE TIME
It was so frustrating
You'd notice certain functions not working (like adding an additional location or reassigning a task) and then the whole thing would go down
We lost at least 3 individual business days due to Taskworld acting up
We often requested features and bug fixes that took forever to be resolved
Taskworld staff was responsive, but issues took too long to resolve
As a small example, the GIF functionality of chat and task communication was down for weeks with no explanation
Small glitches were frequent and obnoxious
We had to clear caches all the time in hopes that we'd be able to use Taskworld the way it was intended
There were many times employees didn't get notified of their "@ mentions" or weren't seeing notifications at all
It was a nightmare of death by a thousand cuts.

Zola Suite

Pros
Having the ability to do not just case management and billing, but complete firm accounting/reconciliation is a godsend
I also love the support Zola provides with real humans who are knowledgable about the product
Their follow up is outstanding
Zola Suite allows me to manage both the clients side and the business side of my practice with ease
This is great product for solo and small firms."
Cons
Since the company is unable to correct the problem, I must move on to the different product
In short, the software has damaged my practice because it cannot be trusted and because it is not the product we were sold
Zola does integrate with Law Pay which has that feature, but the process gets clunky
There is very little that we dislike about Zola Suite
Anything that we have concerns about, they try to address and show us a proper way to manage."
