Unchecking the follow-along highlighter doesn't work. It keeps highlighting the text and following along anyway. Too bad, because this I was hoping that unchecking that box would keep the TTS reader from scrolling the page all over the place while is was reading - and guessing wrongly what text should be yellow highlighted. This is using OperaGX by the way.

Text to Speech (TTS) is a multi-browser addon that allows you to read any website with natural-sounding voices, from a single word to multiple paragraphs. Working with this addon is very simple, and it supports a wide range of languages (for a detailed list, please read the description section.). Please open a website with text content in order to use this addon. Click on the activator icon after selecting any desired text (green icon on top of the selection). The addon will begin the voice, and the activator icon will display the progress. Please select text paragraph by paragraph so that the highlight feature works properly.

Does not read texts in Ukrainian and Russian on the sites with the help of a bubble, as well as the text is pre-copied and pasted in a new window after clicking on the button on the taskbar in the Opera browser. English works stably. The function to download, or view the availability of downloaded, installed languages not found in the browser, on the site and instructions on YouTube.

Really nice plugin absolutely one of the best out there. what about the "options" menu for firefox version of this addon? also about changing speed and pitch of tts.

It's open-sourced, but very well maintained by the core group of Johns Hopkins University's speech recognition laboratory. It has been offering a great suite of tools and libraries for speech scientists to utilize to perform their research experiments with ease as well as for industry practitioners to exploit to build business solutions for customers who are interested in paying for dependable speech recognition solutions. It also supports various neural network architectures that can be useful for any sequential processing. Given that we're in the era of deep learning booming, this tool is a real gem for any machine learning engineer to be able to use to build and evaluate neural network based systems for various tasks.
