Todoist vs Beanote

odoist makes apps for all major devices and platforms, and it couldn't be easier to use. There's a free version, which is very good, though the Pro level is absolutely the way to go. If you need an app that will keep you productive with tools for organizing your tasks, either by yourself or in collaboration with others, Todoist is it. It's a five-out-of-five stars Editors' Choice winner.

I like that you have a calendar and you can set tasks or reminders for you or a team. Very simple to use and also gives you pointers how to use the software.

Todoist allows me to create a template for weekly recurring tasks in my work, to assign dates to time-driven tasks, to limit my view to only tasks in a certain category, and generally excels at all I need from a task manager.

There is no way of exporting your notes should you want to backup them up or even import them into another install in another Chromium based browser. Look elsewhere unless you want your notes held captive Just lost all my notes for an entire website. What a failure. Extension also causes issue with Canada Post site when you attempt to chat with their virtual assistant. The chat becomes useless with the extension enable. The text input field becomes unusable and links posted by the assistant are no clickable. You can not add particular sites to an ignore list. The option disable extension on the current site does not stick/work

Very nice idea, but a few limitations: 1) There is no way to download highlights, only notes are downloaded. 2) It cannot be backed up, so if you change browser/laptop, everything is gone unless you have downloaded it somewhere. 3) No way to export to google doc.

The extension works great on webpages! However, this extension does not allow your to highlight / add sticky note to PDFs saved in your local drive, even with the "Allow access to file URLs" enabled in the Chrome extension settings for Beanote.
