“Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today.“
Sir Richard Branson
I love the app. I just wish there was an option for a one time payment for premium. I have too many subscriptions, and I always cancel new subscriptions in a short amount of time because I find that I don't use the app enough to pay monthly or yearly. The apps that I can pay once for premium are the apps I usually stick with. I use this a lot for tracking my spending and budget, so a subscription is kind of counter intuitive.
Dylan CoxTodoist is a delightfully simple yet powerful task planner and to-do list app. Finally, organize your work and life.
The app really isn’t meant for much else, but for professional writers seeking to streamline their process, it may be very valuable. The cloud-focused app also needs an internet connection to really be useful when it comes to security and backups.
Anonynous User, Be A Writer TodayLivingWriter has many excellent features to offer…if you’re writing a novel. The entire app is built on features specifically made to help writers navigate large fiction books as they write.
odoist makes apps for all major devices and platforms, and it couldn't be easier to use. There's a free version, which is very good, though the Pro level is absolutely the way to go. If you need an app that will keep you productive with tools for organizing your tasks, either by yourself or in collaboration with others, Todoist is it. It's a five-out-of-five stars Editors' Choice winner.

I like that you have a calendar and you can set tasks or reminders for you or a team. Very simple to use and also gives you pointers how to use the software.
- Carrie K.
Todoist allows me to create a template for weekly recurring tasks in my work, to assign dates to time-driven tasks, to limit my view to only tasks in a certain category, and generally excels at all I need from a task manager.
- Ed K.
I've been using this app for awhile on my tablet and desktop. While the desktop app isn't perfect, this app is particularly frustrating to use, especially if you're using a physical keyboard. The arrow keys don't control the cursor, instead cycling through the header navigation. Once you've accidentally pressed an arrow key, pressing space bar makes the menu open, without fail. It's very irritating.
- Alissa McGee
Perfect for those who like to plot out their stories. The tools are very versatile and I easily adjusted them to my needs. I love that I can jump between mobile and web, since I write 80% on my phone and 20% on the computer. My only major qualm with this app is that I really like the element link feature, but I don't think it works on the app. I can see the element links I've made on the web version, but as far as I can tell, I can't make links.
- Nico
I love the desktop version but the app leaves so much to be desired. Basic functions like being able to use auto correct or select/highlight text to cut or copy and paste is just non existent and it lags like crazy. Part of the reason I signed up was for the supposed convenience of being able to work on my projects from my phone or computer when on the go but that's simply not possible with so many basic functions (which can be found in any other writing app) just aren't available.
- Eli Ernest
