"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."

have been using the app for a little bit now and I have to say that it has been a good experience so far. Simplistic, conversational design which works because emails can be a mess. I will like to see the service able to connect to other email clients outside of Gmail which I would imagine is going to come. Also if there is a way to have a section that offers a team style message place where you can invite someone you been emailing with to a secondary workspace to share files and conversation within the app. I think that would be cool and with the app’s clean look it would work well. This is almost already there with the notes feature. Wishful thinking I think the devs on this are off to a great start. There are a lot of email clients that are out there that don’t deliver on making email simple and easy in terms of use. Looking forward to see upcoming features and how the app grows. Also please keep the app add free. Even if there is a one-time payment which is always the best or even subscription model so that the devs are funded and supported and we don’t get ads.

About Twobird

We give the use of technology to humans a lot of thought. With the help of our initial software, SoundAMP, iPhones might be used as multiband digital hearing aids to assist those with mild to severe hearing loss. Based on the realization that the iPad permitted a new sort of note-taking, particularly with increased review and replay of notes made in a class or meeting, we released Notability, the first app of its kind, in 2010. Millions of kids, families, and individuals throughout the world rely on Notability, which is consistently listed as a top selling software in the iOS App Store. Our success with Notability inspired us to consider further demands for better, more straightforward digital experiences. What if we could eliminate the need to move between apps for communication and everyday tasks? Illustration of confetti a picture of lunch at the work lunch table by Ginger Labs workers We had a lot of experience with notes, but we desired an inbox experience that combined notes, reminders, and email. We believed that since our digital lives are interactive and collaborative, so should our inboxes, which should compile all of our information for easy access in one location. Our team has been developing, testing, and breaking numerous concepts for a better communication channel for more than two years. The outcome is Twobird, a novel email app that is currently accessible on all significant desktop and mobile platforms. In order to assist users focus on what's most crucial in their digital lives and comprehend material more quickly, our goal is to develop cutting-edge apps that accommodate all learning styles. Illustration of confetti our opinions Picture of a card game being played by Ginger Labs staff The best technological tools, in our opinion, support focus and creativity while being strong and intuitive. Technology can and should work for you, boosting the interactions and information that are most important, not for it to be the center of your day, in our opinion.

By far my favorite note app due to its simplicity yet very well organized design and useful features. Has some (minor) glitches and shortcomings, but I love its design. Pros... Feature rich (hierarchical notes, tables, code boxes, image import, db import/export, etc.) Not bloated with features you don't need Super easy to keep all your notes on dissimilar topics all in one place, well organized and easily navigatable Cons... CherryTree occasionally crashes for me (Windows). Not sure if the root cause is CherryTree or not. I may send feedback to the developer(s) and see what's up. UPDATE: I no longer see any crashes. I believe the problem was my work computer was still running Windows 7 (!!!) It never crashed for me under Win 10 (which I use at home). I only ever saw it crash on that one computer running Win 7. Interface sometimes seems to have been developed in its own universe rather than using standard libraries, toolkits, etc. Example ... Creating and editing tables is workable but not like any table editing you've probably seen before.

About CherryTree

CherryTree is not a straightforward note-taking application in the same vein as "Remember the Milk" or "Evernote." CherryTree places an exclusive emphasis on the functional aspects of note taking, eschewing any attempt at design. It gives you the ability to take notes in rich text format and highlights syntax for you. You have the option of storing your data in an XML file or a Sqlite file. CherryTree is loaded to the brim with features that enable you to directly pull notes and the features associated with them from a wide variety of programs and websites. Rich text, image handling, multi-level list handling, tables handling, codebox handling, hyperlinks, iteration sorting, and so on are just some of the many features that it possesses. Other features include: This tool is for users who need to copy not only text but also backgrounds, images, fonts, and a great deal more in addition to text. It is not for people who simply want to copy text. When it is used properly, it can save a web page along with all of the important attributes that are associated with it. This allows you to move the files over to another content management system without taking the web coding from the previous CMMS with you.

Twobird reviews

The interface is great: I like the low priority & unsubscibe, and the inbox is organized, simple and easy to look at. Unfortunately, the app is missing MAJOR features: PDFs (and many other types of attachments) can't be opened, and no attachments can EVER be downloaded (to open separately maybe), multi-selection doesn't allow most of the important organization features (labeling, moving, setting reminders), so you have to go into each one manually and do the things, also no way to print at all.

Great app, great cross-platform support. Still lacking a few key features that would make it a no-brainer. E.g. I have a Google account with more than one alias set up, but I have to remember to manually select which alias to send an email every time. (Thankfully it automatically selects the right one when replying, but not for forwarding.) The calendar support is there, but I'd love for it to support event colors since I color code many events on one of my calendars. Great potential!

I cannot wait to see how this app evolves. Things I love: - The texting-like interface---makes email feel like less of a slog - Markdown!!! - Free but with premium features, including snoozing, send later, hiding external images, etc. - Notes!!! Things that could be improved: - I don't love the interface aesthetics: --- (1) the font is chunky (especially in bold); would be amazing if there were options here. --- (2) the color highlights are dominated with eye-wateringly bright pinks and purples. I'd love to be able to turn off colors. --- (3) the icons are a little oversized

CherryTree reviews

Good-looking and feature-full note taking software. Not just for programmers but for writers and researchers as well.

I was looking for an open source alternative to Workflowy. This is about as close as I could get. The UI isn't all that modern, but it is fairly configurable. You can change the fonts used and their sizes. The size of the toolbar items can be changed, you can actually make them really big. In my case I disabled the toolbar; the icons mix badly with a dark theme. The other thing that is a bit annoying is the icons. They are tiny and quite dated too. Maybe a nitpick on my part? Still, at least you can change the default entry icon from the cherry to any of the options they provide, such as a dot, like in a bullet list. I'm happy with this application. It does everything I need it to do well, without subscriptions or needless cloud dependency.

Fantastic note-taking app, probably the best in the business in that it isn't cloud based, works windows and linux, and supports encryption and has tons of features. The only major problem I have with it is that nearly every Linux distro out there is removing CherryTree from their standard repos. I can't get it after Debian 9, Fedora 30, or CentOS 7. Even Manjaro doesn't include it anymore. Anyone have any idea why?
