Most popular feedback for Walling

The Walling App is, no doubt, unique and creative. But due to its advanced features, it might be complicated for some. People who work with other project management tools will find it difficult to learn everything. If you give it 2-4 days, it can be both a good productivity tool and a project manager.

About Walling

Walling can help you work more efficiently. A hierarchy of concepts, linkages, and charting is provided by Walls, Sections, and Bricks. This aids in the planning and organization of your ideas and tasks. A Wall lets you keep track of and hone your ideas whether you're planning a project, doing research, or writing an article. The actions you can take are visually represented in the sidebar. You can refer to that wall when you start the actual task. Walling can be used by non-technical people as well as designers, developers, project managers, writers, and other occupations. Walling is divided into various components, including the Daily Desk, Walls, Sections, Bricks, Tags, and smaller components within of them. However, everything may be altered, making it versatile in use. The Qualities That Make It Special 1. A Wall Sections and Walls in Walling. You design a Wall as soon as you get on Walling. You may graphically organize all of your chores and projects on a wall. Walls are segmented into parts. It enables you to organize and contribute content for your project. You can concentrate just on one thing—getting all ideas and tasks off your mind—by erecting a new Wall. Then, you can arrange your stuff in whatever way you wish according to what you need and don't require. The wall functions as a sizable ecosystem that houses all of your thoughts (Sections and Bricks). Section View in Walling You may simply go from planning to managing and organizing your thoughts and responsibilities by using several views of each wall area. This aids in keeping you aware of the context of the work you're performing. 2. Bricks Use the Walling brick function. Bricks are used to divide the Sections. Each brick is a tiny document that can be filled with anything. Images, videos, checklists, bulleted lists, documents, and links that are pertinent to the concept or work at hand as well as the entire project may be included. Add a fresh brick to the wall. A new card is added to your wall when you click the plus sign. It is known as a brick and has a title and text area. You can add photos, files, links, ordered lists, checklists, lists, horizontal lines, code blocks, citation blocks, and images to Walls by clicking the addition button at the bottom of each brick. You'll find typical texts, titles, checklists, and lists to the left of the + sign to make adding them simpler. Bricks can be moved about by dragging and dropping them. 3. Weekly Desk Walling's Daily Desk app. Walls are not the only ones who wall. For those unplanned thoughts or insights you wish to look into and expand later, The Daily Desk is perfect. It resembles a wall. The bricks can be filled with anything you choose, including your ideas. You can access all of your ideas by using the navigation arrows next to the date. 4. Tags Bricks can be altered by adding tags. You can filter and see Bricks by tags in the Wizard menu in addition to adding them to Daily Desk. A tag enables the connection of two or more bricks. In other words, a shared concept (Tag) can link two or more concepts (Bricks). For instance, you may list out and manage Bricks that contain both "Blog Post" and "Back Links" tags by using the Wizard menu. 5. Reminders and Search Walling's search function Using search, you may locate every brick you added to your walls or workstation. The global fast search makes it simple to find your thoughts and notes. Feature on Walling that reminds Reminders help you meet deadlines. Every time you add a task brick to your daily desk or an idea to your project wall, you can receive a push notice. 6. Real-Time Chat and a Wall for Export a Wall in Walling is exported Your content is never locked by walling. A wall can be exported in Markdown, PDF, or HTML. On each wall, there is a live conversation panel as well. This might be the spot for you to post comments or notes for yourself or to address problems with your team. Is Walling Effective? Without a doubt, the Walling App is original and inventive. However, some people might find it difficult due to its sophisticated features. It will be challenging for people who use other project management solutions to learn everything. If you give it 2-4 days, it can serve as a project manager as well as a useful productivity tool.

I love the feel and layout to this app. I can organize and see my individual lists in a simple way. BUT it is missing 1 big thing and has 1 minor annoyance. It is missing the ability to have daily repeating lists. If you don’t intend to have everyday repeating things on this app, then ignore this part and see the annoyance below. However I have a daily list for the things I need/want to accomplish every common day, but I can’t mark each item complete or I’ll have to retype them tomorrow. Why can’t I set daily repeating reminders for the same time for at least 1 list?! I just don’t touch my daily list, I look at it and it’s ordered how I go about it and I just have to know what is and isn’t done. The annoyance....I like the dark purple theme, it looks great on my lists. But my upper tier list (the list of your lists) doesn’t follow that theme, that tier is ugly bright yellow/orange that I can’t read well, so I can’t use the purple theme on my lower lists because of its opposite effect on the upper tier. If the theme I choose isn’t going to be universal across all my lists, then let me at least change the other tier theme to something else. The dark themes are the only ones that stay constant on both tiers. I’ll stick with boring black or noir until that’s fixed....

About Clear Todos

Clear is incomparable to any other to-do list application that we have tried. It takes the most advantage of the iPhone's multitouch interface of any to-do list app we've tested, using swipes and pinches to not only control the screen you're looking at but also navigate through the app. This is our top pick for best use of the iPhone's multitouch interface. It gives the impression that it provides a workflow that was developed specifically for use on the iPhone. In addition to that, the way it appears to the eye is very well thought out. Despite this, we have no plans to replace our current to-do app with Clear. When using Clear, you will have an experience that is pleasant, productive, and, well, cool. The interface is the point at which everything begins. Clear makes excellent use of the multitouch capabilities already present in Apple's iOS operating system. You won't find any traditional user interface elements like buttons, checkboxes, or anything else like that on this page. Instead, everything in Clear is accomplished through the use of gestures. Do you want to make a fresh list of things to do? Navigate to the page that contains the main list overview, and then drag the lists down. There will soon be a new one. The process of including items on to-do lists follows the same format. By pinching into the middle of the screen, you can move up one level in the app's hierarchy, moving from the to-do level to the list level or from the list level to the settings level, depending on which level you are currently on. Simply swiping from left to right across an item will mark it as finished. Simply starting over will undo that completion. Swipe the screen in the opposite direction to delete it. When it comes to reordering to-dos, you can forget about the standard method of tapping, holding, and dragging on the icon depicting three bars, which is required by the majority of apps. Simply tap the to-do list item, and then drag it. It's not a huge adjustment, but it does sound and read much better. In addition to this, there is intelligence incorporated into to-do lists themselves. For instance, every list features a color-coding system that uses a more prominent font for the items that are considered higher priorities. The items at the very top of the list are displayed in a brilliant red color (this is the default; you can select from a variety of other color schemes), and the colors of the items that follow progress further and further down the spectrum. In addition, there is no prioritization system in place for these items. Simply move an item to a different location in the list, and Clear will automatically assign it a different color based on its priority. When it comes down to it, Clear is a stunning illustration of the kinds of potent and natural apps that can be crafted using the iOS platform.

Walling reviews

I use many tools to help structure my thinking from checklists, to note taking apps, to mind maps, and digital whiteboards. Walling is my go to app to get all thoughts out of my mind in an uncluttered and visually appealing way. It’s the easiest way for me to iterate on complex subject matter across all device types and form factors. I never stop thinking and Walling’s ubiquity allows me to capture stream of consciousness thoughts at any time on my iPhone, iPad, Mac, and PC. I find the Chrome web clipper extremely valuable as well. Once you’re ready and if appropriate for your workflow, Walling allows you to easily copy/move your content into other apps such as Google Docs for longer form presentation and narrative development. Lastly, Walling’s founder, Elmasry, listens to his end-user community, engages with them, and empathizes when prioritizing feature requests. Highly recommended founder and app.

I just started using the app and I love it. I can easily create a compelling visual workspace for my design work. One thing I noticed is that the text formatting doesn’t translate perfectly between mobile and desktop. Why is there no H2 option on mobile? It’s a great feature on the desktop version that makes the visual hierarchy easier to read. When I look at the same wall on my phone, all headings are the same size and it no longer looks neatly organized. Also, line breaks don’t seem to show up on my phone, I used a line break in a paragraph I made in one of my blocks on my laptop, but on my phone the text is just crunched together on one line. Really like the app and hope to see further improvements.

Walling is a flexible organizational tool that helps you organize information using a brick and wall metaphor. It also has a unique tagging feature that lets you see connections between bricks from a top down perspective while the brick and wall building supports a bottom-up approach. It takes only 10 minutes to get the hang of it and you’ll be able to start building your second brain.

Clear Todos reviews

Used for years on iPhone happy to rediscover it on Android. Simple, fast, and without confusing overhead. It is more basic gestures wise than to older iPhone app. Hopefully it regains the lost gestures/features like sounds and more. I miss the pinch open to insert an item. Now you have to add then drag and drop. Used to be able to pinch to collapse and close to go back. Several other gestures are lacking.

Been using this app for years and literally couldn’t live without it. As a teacher I constantly have separate lists of things to do and this allows me to keep everything organized and prevents me from having a million sticky notes all over the place that I forget to take with me. The only thing I wish this app had was the ability to send lists to someone, especially if they have the same app. For instance, I use this most for grocery lists and would love to be able to share the list with whoever is shopping with me so we can work on the list together. Would be reallyyyyy cool if you could find a way to work on the same list together (when I swipe something, it does the same thing on their list etc).

I have been using this app for years and love it. It is simple to use when you want to make quick notes and lists, but it also provides options and settings that allow you to do more organization of lists if you want. I recently got a new iPhone and was no longer able to sync between devices. After doing everything I could to work out the problem myself, I contacted Clear via email. They responded within 24 hours with the perfect solution to my problem. I could not be more impressed in a time when good customer service is hard to come by. Thanks, Clear!!
