Most popular feedback for Walling

The Walling App is, no doubt, unique and creative. But due to its advanced features, it might be complicated for some. People who work with other project management tools will find it difficult to learn everything. If you give it 2-4 days, it can be both a good productivity tool and a project manager.

About Walling

Walling can help you work more efficiently. A hierarchy of concepts, linkages, and charting is provided by Walls, Sections, and Bricks. This aids in the planning and organization of your ideas and tasks. A Wall lets you keep track of and hone your ideas whether you're planning a project, doing research, or writing an article. The actions you can take are visually represented in the sidebar. You can refer to that wall when you start the actual task. Walling can be used by non-technical people as well as designers, developers, project managers, writers, and other occupations. Walling is divided into various components, including the Daily Desk, Walls, Sections, Bricks, Tags, and smaller components within of them. However, everything may be altered, making it versatile in use. The Qualities That Make It Special 1. A Wall Sections and Walls in Walling. You design a Wall as soon as you get on Walling. You may graphically organize all of your chores and projects on a wall. Walls are segmented into parts. It enables you to organize and contribute content for your project. You can concentrate just on one thing—getting all ideas and tasks off your mind—by erecting a new Wall. Then, you can arrange your stuff in whatever way you wish according to what you need and don't require. The wall functions as a sizable ecosystem that houses all of your thoughts (Sections and Bricks). Section View in Walling You may simply go from planning to managing and organizing your thoughts and responsibilities by using several views of each wall area. This aids in keeping you aware of the context of the work you're performing. 2. Bricks Use the Walling brick function. Bricks are used to divide the Sections. Each brick is a tiny document that can be filled with anything. Images, videos, checklists, bulleted lists, documents, and links that are pertinent to the concept or work at hand as well as the entire project may be included. Add a fresh brick to the wall. A new card is added to your wall when you click the plus sign. It is known as a brick and has a title and text area. You can add photos, files, links, ordered lists, checklists, lists, horizontal lines, code blocks, citation blocks, and images to Walls by clicking the addition button at the bottom of each brick. You'll find typical texts, titles, checklists, and lists to the left of the + sign to make adding them simpler. Bricks can be moved about by dragging and dropping them. 3. Weekly Desk Walling's Daily Desk app. Walls are not the only ones who wall. For those unplanned thoughts or insights you wish to look into and expand later, The Daily Desk is perfect. It resembles a wall. The bricks can be filled with anything you choose, including your ideas. You can access all of your ideas by using the navigation arrows next to the date. 4. Tags Bricks can be altered by adding tags. You can filter and see Bricks by tags in the Wizard menu in addition to adding them to Daily Desk. A tag enables the connection of two or more bricks. In other words, a shared concept (Tag) can link two or more concepts (Bricks). For instance, you may list out and manage Bricks that contain both "Blog Post" and "Back Links" tags by using the Wizard menu. 5. Reminders and Search Walling's search function Using search, you may locate every brick you added to your walls or workstation. The global fast search makes it simple to find your thoughts and notes. It will be challenging for people who use other project management solutions to learn everything. If you give it 2-4 days, it can serve as a project manager as well as a useful productivity tool.

Most popular feedback for Notesnook

A promising new app for privacy-minded consumers I used to love Evernote, but they got way too expensive and they violated the trust of their customer base. For those who want to support an app that respects the right to privacy while offering a feature-rich note-taking app, Notesnook is for you. Unlike most note-taking apps, Notesnook doesn't collect your personal data or identifiers, nor does it track you. They operate on the "zero knowledge" principle, where only you, the customer, can view your own content. As someone trying to reduce my "google footprint," this part is especially important to me. Notesnook is young in comparison to juggernauts like Evernote and Google Keep, so while they have a solid foundation that would attract most people, they are still in the process of adding features and functionalities that match their competition. That being said, I firmly believe in their mission. Whenever I encountered a bug or had a question, they were right there to help on discord. The head developer is approachable, courteous, knowledgeable and effective. Companies like his with a focus on open communication, transparency and customer feedback is deserving of patronage--the monthly fee is reasonable and I believe they'll offer different pricing options in the near future. Give Notesnook a try!

About Notesnook

A free and open source note-taking tool with a focus on user privacy and usability is called Notesnook. Notesnook encrypts everything on your device with XChaCha20-Poly1305 & Argon2 to guarantee zero knowledge principles. Notesnook serves as our example of how convenience need not (always) be sacrificed for privacy. Our aim is to give consumers complete assurance that their notes are safe and secure, giving them piece of mind. One of the most important steps in that direction is the choice to use only open source software. Open Source License Without the open source community's efforts, from the base (Linux) to the topmost (Java), Notesnook would not exist today (React). We have chosen to use a (A)GPLv3 license precisely because of this. Open source includes freedom, and we don't want to limit your freedom in any way. Notesnook's independent and self-funded development began in 2019. The initial edition, which incorporated our Pro plan with a subscription model, was introduced in April 2021. Since then, Notesnook has only been able to operate thanks to the generous subscription fees paid by our loyal customers. This gives us the freedom to decide what is best for your privacy on our own. Sincerely, we neither have the tools nor the expertise necessary to launch a capital round, nor do we have any plans to do so. VC-backed start-ups are fantastic, but in order to remain competitive and successful, they have to give up their individuality and independence. What distinguishes Notesnook from other note-taking apps that respect privacy? Everyone may take notes securely from beginning to end with the help of Notesnook, a user-focused note-taking tool. The vast majority of our less tech-savvy consumers who simply want to take notes without all the effort fall under this category. In essence, Notesnook seeks to provide a full substitute for other unreliable note-taking applications like Notion and Evernote. Since these technologies, let's face it, offer excellent productivity at the expense of your privacy.

Walling reviews

I use many tools to help structure my thinking from checklists, to note taking apps, to mind maps, and digital whiteboards. Walling is my go to app to get all thoughts out of my mind in an uncluttered and visually appealing way. It’s the easiest way for me to iterate on complex subject matter across all device types and form factors. I never stop thinking and Walling’s ubiquity allows me to capture stream of consciousness thoughts at any time on my iPhone, iPad, Mac, and PC. I find the Chrome web clipper extremely valuable as well. Once you’re ready and if appropriate for your workflow, Walling allows you to easily copy/move your content into other apps such as Google Docs for longer form presentation and narrative development. Lastly, Walling’s founder, Elmasry, listens to his end-user community, engages with them, and empathizes when prioritizing feature requests. Highly recommended founder and app.

I just started using the app and I love it. I can easily create a compelling visual workspace for my design work. One thing I noticed is that the text formatting doesn’t translate perfectly between mobile and desktop. Why is there no H2 option on mobile? It’s a great feature on the desktop version that makes the visual hierarchy easier to read. When I look at the same wall on my phone, all headings are the same size and it no longer looks neatly organized. Also, line breaks don’t seem to show up on my phone, I used a line break in a paragraph I made in one of my blocks on my laptop, but on my phone the text is just crunched together on one line. Really like the app and hope to see further improvements.

Walling is a flexible organizational tool that helps you organize information using a brick and wall metaphor. It also has a unique tagging feature that lets you see connections between bricks from a top down perspective while the brick and wall building supports a bottom-up approach. It takes only 10 minutes to get the hang of it and you’ll be able to start building your second brain.

Notesnook reviews

So far this app is fantastic! Very intuitive. The UI is nice as well. Love the security features. Great work! Will be subscribing to pro very soon! One suggestion is to add the ability to choose a notebook to save a quick note to when making a quicknote from chrome mobile. One small issue is that sometimes the UI goes off the bottom of the page on my LG V30 phone. I imaginge that will be fixed.

- Mitch S

Loving it so far! Simple, safe and efficient, exactly what I'm looking for. The only complaint is that adding pics to notes isn't a very smooth experience. I can't drag pictures around, and sometimes if i want to add words after the picture i can't find the cursor.

- Yanting-Leah Li

Pretty great so far. It is exactly what it is advertised to be. The ability to organize notes via notebooks is amazing. The ability to have sections within sections would be very useful, as would a whiteboard or sketch feature, such as the one Samsung Notes has. Otherwise, this app is very useful!
