"Speechify is absolutely brilliant. Growing up with dyslexia this would have made a big difference. I’m so glad to have it today."Sir Richard Branson
Though it has some nice elements and its simple, streamlined interface is low on distractions, Whink is missing some features that other note-taking apps offer for free. The reading mode is especially minimalist, which will help kids stay focused. It's also excellent that you can toggle the writing tools for right-handed or left-handed writers and drag a palm rest on-screen. Though it isn't always intuitive to figure out how things work, shorts taps and long presses unlock more tools for grouping your notes and adding tags and notes. Some features are absent, though. For example, you can't import PDF documents from within the app: Instead, you'll have to use the "Open in" pop-up menu in another app to select Whink, which isn't hard, but it's another step. Two features -- adding audio and drawing shapes -- are only available after an additional $2.99 in-app purchase, but comparable tools such as Notability and Evernote include that feature in the basic download. It's also not entirely clear how to search for tagged documents. Though it's attractive and effective, more features for collaboration, importing, and sharing would make it even better.

I just downloaded this app, and I found out that it doesn’t even have some features in markup on photos! Like the scissors feature, you draw a circle around your drawing, and you can delete it, move it around, and in notability, you can even change its look! Also, in this app, for almost everything, we have to pay. Suppose you want more than two notebooks, you have to pay. Even if you want to use a text box, you have to pay. Even with the BASIC colors, you have to pay. I like notability better than this.
You may quickly create multi-media notes with QuickNotes X by utilizing an image as the note's background, importing photos from your library or the web using an in-app tool, or by dragging and dropping from another window. These images can also be moved and resized at any time, allowing you to change them as needed. You can type your notes instead of writing them by adding Text Boxes with the new Text Tool. Want to change the text style? With QuickNotes X, typing and taking notes are now simpler. You may select the font, size, and color that you like, as well as bold or underline critical phrases. Lossless Zoom and Expert Tools Because details are crucial, it is vital to utilize better colors when taking notes. You need the correct tools to write the ideal note. Because of this, QuickNotes X is equipped with everything you need, including an Eraser and a basic Pen and Highlighter, ensuring that no mistakes are ever irreparable. To further personalize your style, choose the ideal line width and opacity. Then, choose the appropriate color from a hand-picked palette or by utilizing the new HSV picker. Additionally, it provides all the resources required to take flawless, expert notes in one location. Your notebooks can be password-protected. Using a password or Touch ID or Face ID Want to limit who can access a certain notebook? Simply establish a password for it at that time, or long-press an existing notebook to lock it. And to unlock it when you need to add more pages, simply input the password once more or unlock using Touch ID or Face ID.
I LIVE THROUGH THIS APP! I use it for my bullet journal, my packing list, our budget, and so much more! I love the app so much! My ONLY complaint is one that has developed over time and it is the lack of color choice. There are like 5 shades of black, 3/4 of the same ish shade of blue, and like 4 cream ish colors. There is no yellow or purple and just overall the colors are all drab and the same. It does not seem too hard to have an update that improves the color options for the user!
Whink is the most refreshing download in the recent times for me! I have literally scratched the surface of all the note-taking apps available for the iPad and came to the conclusion that this is the coolest new-age note taking app that also has a very easy and intuitive user interface. This is the single most important tool i carry to my school. To put it simply, it excels at all the necessary tasks that are expected from a note taking app and best of all is that at the end of the day, i can be rest assured that all my notes are safely backed up to the iCloud !!! What more could i ask for?! I highly recommend it. Go for it! Update 11/10 : The issue with the app freezing is completely fixed now! Thanks for your immediate attention!
First off, I love the sleek design of this app and the icon itself is gorgeous. I also LOVE that you can make all the menus basically invisible. This is sooo very nice. Also the “ink” is awesome in this app. Those features make it really hard to say no to, but it’s missing some crucial things for me. First of all, the organization/file tree needs some work. I don’t like that I can’t have a cover for my group. I don’t like that there is not list view. The covers themselves are a little lack luster with no way to add a personalized one. Also, the fact that you can’t edit a cover once you create a note is a travesty. The lines are too big as I prefer smaller writing. I have the same problem with the microscope It also annoys me that whenever I enter a document it defaults to pen so I inevitably mark something on accident. It should default to view only as this is usually the first thing you do upon opening a note. I feel like the design lent itself more to a page-turn design to I was a little disappointed by the infinite scroll. That’s just nit picky though. I hope that these things are fixed in the future as I’d love to be using this app.
TLDR - Easy to use and very helpful for organization. Missing some features that are not essential for use, but would be a convenient and pleasant addition in the future. The notebook organization system and the ease of changing writing utensil, page format, and incorporating images is noteworthy. It is also very easy to export notebooks in various formats (though the premium expansion is needed for some of the aforementioned features). It also works incredibly with the Apple Pencil. However, there are some relatively common features that are currently missing, and could be helpful if added in the future. -To my knowledge, there is no method to reorder pages, only add and remove. - There is also no ruler tool, which has some niche cases where it would be helpful. While I understand it wouldn’t not be a significant priority for most users, I am surprised that even the paid tools do not compare with the included markup tools on Apple’s iBooks -There is also no ability to copy and paste a portion of a page or a whole page, which can be helpful when weighting lengthy equations or statements -there is no ability to separate or move specific selections of writing around the page, even though text and images can be moved as overlays Overall, I like the app a lot, and I feel it has a lot of potential. However, there are many features I have seen in competitor’s apps that are missing.

Love the simplicity aesthetic layout just need minor adjustments Overall love how simple the layout is on the app and I’m definitely planning to buy the full pack. Just my one thing as I’m writing with my Apple Pencil and my Adonit dash my palm is creating a master piece of line work below as I’m writing lol. I use the app to brainstorm my new ideas and art projects like how I would do on a normal notebook. And transferring to another app thru pdf very convenient i can keep organized thru my apple files. My reason giving 4 stars it’s missing palm rejection function when I’m writing with my Apple Pencil. Other than that I do enjoy using the app
