It's a really fun application that allows you to interact to with other writers by seeing and sharing your stories with one another. This is an incredible tool for those who tend to be more on the reclusive side or are just shy. For this reason I highly recommend this to anybody aspiring to be a writer.

In my life, and in my life’s work, I have long labored with speaking, writing, and when preparing factual reports of important incidents and events. It has always been my effort to convey my thoughts to others, official or otherwise, succinctly and with utter accuracy. In the process, I learned a wide vocabulary is the foundation for providing clear focus about any occurrence whether it pertains to personal issues or creating official reports for myriad purposes. Making it a point to accomplish this, I purposefully delved into dictionaries and thesauruses not to impress and amaze, but rather to be exceptionally lucid and to provide a view of things in their true and relative importance. Hence, I endeavored to make use all media that enhanced my vocabulary. While there is always room for improvement, I take satisfaction in knowing that my store of words is ample to bring about accuracy to my spoken and written words. I owe much to Merriam-Webster involving this persistent activity, for it has served me well.

Writing Prompts reviews

Don't get me wrong, I love app! I really enjoy how if you like someone's prompt you can favorite it and like it and follow them. It even has many different genres you can look up for specific prompts. Edit (I have re-gotten the app and loving it even more! There are more prompts and feeds and my prompts showed up. The ones I submitted were a while back, so I need to make new. But if your looking for a fun way to share your creativity and skills than this is the app for you, it just takes time! )

Good stories and prompts. The community seems pretty small and not very active, because most of the prompts I see don't have any stories written for them. One major problem I have with the app is that if too many genres are added initially, I can't press the submit button because the genres list pushes it down and there's no scrolling on the screen. Aside from that, it would be nice if there were more genres, and maybe a "prompt filler's choice" genre option or something.

The app is simply... decent. Honestly, if it weren't for the user submitted prompts, it would be far better, even four or five stars. I spent a while scrolling through the user-submitted prompts, and they were unimaginative at best, and rife with grammar and spelling errors to the point of being unintelligible at worst.

Dictionary.com reviews

I tried reinstalling the app. Now instead of tapping 3 times in the search box to get my keyboard, it's twice. Hurray for progress. But now, after closing an ad, clicking on the tabs, definition/thesaurus/etc. reveals just a blank area. Subsequent searches are also blank. I have to restart the app for it to work but still when an ad happens (which is ridiculously too often) same problem.

This is a good reference app, but I think it should have one more thing that is missing for those who buy at least the Plus version, which is something I bought. The encyclopedia is somewhat more interesting to me than the dictionary, so a user who buys the Plus version should be able to copy the text of any encyclopedia article to save it for off-line reading. I think that would be reasonable for those who have bought the Plus version.

Black mode for AMOLED screens would be most appreciated, as opposed to dark grey... also black mode for the widgets, please? Thank you! Word of the day at apps main landing page has plenty of room to include the definition, then we could click to learn more but at least we could see the definition at a glance. Also just a note about the new widget, it does not fill the widget size area properly, there is a lot of empty space above and below it with the buttons looking smooshed. Hope that helps!
