Our App

1 And you’ve already guessed it, but the name WhatsApp is a play on the term “what’s up.”
2 There can be fees associated with using this service.
Our Mission
WhatsApp began as an alternative to text message sending. Text, images, videos, documents, and location information can now be sent and received using our software, in addition to phone calls. This functionality was previously only available for audio conversations. Since you share some of the most intimate parts of your life with WhatsApp, we felt it necessary to build end-to-end encryption into our messaging platform. The goal of removing all barriers from people’s ability to communicate in any part of the world drives every choice we make regarding our products.
We Have a Team
Jan Koum and Brian Acton, who had previously worked at Yahoo for a combined total of twenty years, are credited with founding WhatsApp. Even though it became a part of Facebook in 2014, WhatsApp continues to function as its own app with the singular goal of developing a messaging platform that is blazingly fast and completely reliable in any part of the world.
