Needed this!

Really needed something like this, I am dyslexic, I don’t have patience for sitting down to read… Though all three of my careers/businesses require a lot of reading. I have three children who struggle with either ADD/ADHD and dyslexia. As well as social anxiety. This is a huge tool for them.

What a great idea

I am a student who had ADD and dyslexia so is very very very helpful for me. A reading assignment that would normally take me 30+ minutes took 10! I will be using this very often.

Life-Changing App

I don’t know how, but somehow along the way as an adult I developed ADHD & reading (something I used to do so much as a child my parents would literally have to force me to put my books down to go outside to play) became impossible. I’d read each page seemingly 100x & never retain a word. Audiobooks didn’t work either because I’d zone out, thinking about the million other tasks I needed to be doing. This app is life-changing. I just read 48 pages in an hour & I remember everything, thanks to this sweet little app that allowed me to screenshot each page of the book then press play and let it read to me while I highlighted my book & took notes in the margins. I honestly haven’t been able to read past chapter 1 in an educational or self-help book in maybe 20 years because of my ADHD & in one hour I got through 4 chapters & retained it. Thank you for making this app!!!

College Student

This is a bomb app for special needs students or individuals who suffer from A.D.D. Attention deficits disorder because it helps to stay focused and improve reading skills. This application needs to be more affordable for students.

Amazing

Diagnosed ADHD, really struggle with reading plain txt. The ability to see the txt be highlighted, hear the voice, and play with speed really allows me to stay engaged. I’d seen plenty of ads, finally decided to give it a try. 100% worth getting

somebody who deals with dyslexia

This is one of the best apps I found it’s worth every penny that they charge for it especially for somebody who has ADHD and has dyslexia I do not read and write very well so this helps a lot

Perfect for school

I have ADHD, and it takes me a long time to read through a book or even a document. This app has truly helped me tremendously. I can fly through my chapters, and it helps me complete my assignments. I can also multitask and speed up the speech if needed. I love that I can scan a text, and it reads it for me. I sometimes can’t read some words, and this app helps me learn how to pronounce such words. This is the best app for someone with ADD, ADHD, or someone who has trouble reading.

Trying to time it

All through elementary school junior high and high school when we would take turns reading I would skip ahead and figure out which chapter I was going to have to read. I will go over it and over and over in my head of course by doing this I had no idea what everybody else had read because I was so focused on trying to be able to read and not in barest myself and burst out crying. When somebody got skipped for the teacher changed the order I would go into a complete panic and then I would’ve fake illness or the bathroom break. When teachers would just call upon students to read the whole time I would be looking down trying to be as small as I possibly could and saying over and over in my head please don’t call on me please don’t call on me I have always felt dumb I have yelled at myself why are you so stupid and then I found out I too have dyslexia and ADHD I love audiobooks I want to learn and know about everything but there’s so many books out there that are not audio thank you so much for making simplify you have changed my unknown dark reading world into a magical fantasy sincerely Melissa

I have ADHD, and wish I found this earlier in my career

Speechify so far has been such an easy way for me to absorb content from articles for school, which is one of the harder things for me to focus on. The free version definitely does not do it justice, and IMO it’s worth getting Premium since it’s something you’ll use every day.

Cliff Story on Speechify

I’m a 71 y/o with ADHD. I accidentally came across Speechify after subscribing to ADDA.org. I’m a retired OT. I have struggled with repurcusions of ADHD my entire life and managed to struggle through things…..in spite of the pain and struggle. I recently retired from my career that was a god send in my life. One issue always has been reading comprehension. Though I’ve been successful I continue to struggle with the problem…To be honest I had come across reading programs during my OT career but never considered for myself. This first ttrial reading (CLiff’s story) was amazing. The ease of reading and increased comprehension. I am excited about trying more books because ironically I am an avid reader. Thanks so much CLiff. Bill here in Michigan

I love this

Not only can I not express how much this helped. But it’s easy to install and use. The story they provide is so touching, as someone with ADHD who can’t focus on reading a bunch of words on a paper it’s a lot easier for me to listen to them! I’ve always wanted to be a writer but I never had the patience for having to spell check it so when I listen to it I can go back and edit things I don’t sound right! And thank you so much for not making us pay to use this software. I can’t express how grateful I am for this! :)
