Dawn Desiree was born in Montgomery County, Maryland. After dropping out of high school soon after enrolling, she recognized the unsettling road that she was forcing herself to travel. She realized the importance of education and went back to school to achieve her diploma at the University of the District of Colombia. The gift of writing has always been her passion, stemming from her early childhood years. She currently resides in southwest Washington, DC, where she is raising her four children.
