Edward M. Keyes (1927 – 2002) was born and raised in the Bronx. After graduating from Fordham University, where he wrote for the newspaper and played baseball, he worked as a writer for more than forty years, first for newspapers and magazines and then as the co-author of My Own Particular Screwball and The French Connection. He went on to become the Edgar Award nominated and New York Times bestselling author of The Michigan Murders, Double Dare, and Cocoanut Grove.
