Veterinary technician Carrie Kennersly loves both of her shops in Knobcone Heights: Icing on the Cake for human treats, and Barkery and Biscuits, where she sells healthy dog treats she developed. A frequent visitor is Jack Loroco, who has been trying to get Carrie to sell recipes to his pet food manufacturer employer, VimPets.

Jack also visits to encourage his developing relationship with Carrie’s friend, city councilmember Billi Matlock, who also runs Mountaintop Rescue. But recently VimPets employee Wanda Adler accompanied him to town, apparently wanting a relationship and more with Jack.

When Wanda is found murdered, Carrie has to do all she can to find the killer and clear Billi and Jack.

Veterinary technician Carrie Kennersly has become known for offering healthy dog treats at the clinic where she works.

So when the owner of the local bakery moves away, Carrie jumps at the chance to buy the business and convert half of it into the Barkery, a shop where she can make and sell her canine delights.

But Myra Ethman, co-owner of another pet product store, hates the new competition. At the Barkery’s opening party, she badmouths Carrie’s homemade dog biscuits, insisting that she will find a way to shut the place down.

When Myra is found dead with a Barkery biscuit beside her, Carrie must prove she didn’t do it before she is collared for murder.

When Carrie Kennersley, owner of a two-part bakery that serves tasty treats to both dogs and humans, learns that a local killer is being paroled, she worries that danger will come barking at her door.

Ten years ago, Mike Holpurn was convicted of murdering the first female mayor of Knobcone Heights. Now, shortly after his release, Holpurn puts the whole town on edge by yelling at the former mayor’s husband, Henry Schulzer. After Schulzer is found dead, everyone assumes Holpurn is the culprit. But Carrie thinks there’s more to the story, especially since Holpurn claims Schulzer was the one who killed the mayor. Carrie is determined to uncover the truth, even if it means things will get ruff.

But when Reed is accused of killing a nasty a former veterinary colleague who is now trying to compete with him, he seems a lot more amenable to having successful amateur detective Carrie butt back in again. Can Carrie clear Reed–or does she care too much for a killer?

Her beloved dog Go was recently dognapped before Janelle came to town. But Go shows up in Knobcone Heights.

Janelle confronts wealthy local Ada Arnist, claiming she’s the dognapping culprit. Soon after, Ada is murdered. Did Janelle do it? Did Neal?
