Read with: KindergartenThey were a little antsy today so they didn't enjoy it as much as they could have. It may have been a bit long. Will try reading it with my grade 1s Friday.

I read this book over Zoom with my students. I liked that in the story trick or treating is canceled. We had the same thing because of the pandemic. So the students could relate.

THIS BOOK COMES WITH A WHOLE PAGE OF PINKALICIOUS STICKERS.I like that Pinkalicious is a child in a traditional family and that they talk to each other, listen, and help each other out. When there is a problem, Pinkalicious works within rules and parameters to come to a reasonable solution, rather than outright rebellion and being spoiled. She thinks of others and is respectful to all.A big storm knocks out the power in Pinkville the night before Halloween and the Mayor announces on the radio that if the power cannot be restored by dark, there will be no trick-or-treating. Pinkalicious is very upset; her Pinkagirl costume was all ready. Suddenly she gets an idea. She changes into her costume and shares her idea with the family. They are not sure it will work, but her Mom goes with her to see the Mayor. She tells the Mayor what she has in mind; he really just wants the kids to be safe. Can Pinkagirl save Halloween? I will not spoil....
