this book was one of the best!!! i cryed when her sister died!!! but it also gave me some more insight on tigerstars charecter! he wasnt always so evil. he use to play with whitestorm when they were kits but the day he was given his mentor... thats the day it changed. i dont nor will ever blame tigerstar for his evil ambitions! he only learned from thistleclaw! bluestar always knew he was trouble! im not saying its all thistleclaws fault its both of them! still not blaming tigerstar! but one thing i do blame him for is havng people join his evilness! darkstripe..hes good inside! and longtail...just came out changed (cough cough fave cat!) but hawkfrost started stuff on his own! sasha should have never gave mothwing and hawkfrost to the clans!!!!

I've had this book since I was eleven. I'm now seventeen and in the process of re-reading it for the millionth time. Do I care if I'm too old to still be reading this series? Oh look, there goes the mouse tails I give.(view spoiler)[Bluestar's mother's death was the most heartbreaking scene in this book. Or, I should say, one of the most heartbreaking scenes in this book. I can't believe Hawkheart went on to join StarClan in the end, it's just as... well, unjustified as Ashfur's fate in the afterlife. His excuse was that he "loved too much," which is complete fox dung in my opinion. What was Hawkheart's excuse? That Moonflower was just following her leader's orders in destroying their medicine supply? Ugh, I will never get over that piece of fox dung. (hide spoiler)] Although some hardcore Warrior fans [such as myself] don't particularly agree with the choice of her mother's name, Moonflower, ("Moon" is hardly a name one would give to their kit, considering it belongs to the sacred Moonstone and Moonpool) it's pretty and convenient, so I'll let that slide....Sunstar, however...just no.(view spoiler)[The second most heartbreaking scene on the list is Snowfur's death. The way Bluefur had to break it to her son, Whitekit, was just... I can't even describe the pain I felt for Whitekit and Bluefur, the bearer of bad news. Everyone gives Bluefur a hard time for how she dealt with Moonflower's death as well as that of her sister's, but honestly, I wouldn't be coping much better in her shoes... I mean her paws.Five years after I first read this book, I didn't have a clue why Snowfur's first catch had its fur parted in an ominous way. But now I realize it was a sign from StarClan foretelling her death, and the path that would lead away from her sister's - she would be a mother whose life ended too soon, and Bluepaw, who was the first of the two to catch this really large squirrel, would be ThunderClan's future leader.I see what you did there, Erins. (hide spoiler)]I loved all the names in this book. They were simple and yet telling, not too fancy or flashy like some of the Omen of the Stars cats. For example: Larksong the elder, the two Queens Swiftbreeze and Poppydawn, Pinestar's mother- the deceased Sweetbriar, Dawnstripe, Reedfeather and Fallowtail from WindClan, Littlebird (my personal favorite out of all the names in this book), and Hollyflower from ShadowClan, and I think there are some more but these are all the names I could recall off the top of my head w/o using the book.If you're hesitating in buying the book just because it's labeled for children, just go for it and buy the book -- it won't hurt. (Much.) In my opinion, this book doesn't have the soft barrier other children novels do, and therefore its incorrect in the categorization of a children's book.It was a great book the first time I read it in 2009, when it first released, and it's still a great book five years later.Seriously, take my word for it. You won't regret it.

Best Warriorcat book I have read!(I have read almost all of them apart from Manga) It follows Bluestars life from a squealing kit,to leader of Thunderclan. You learn how she became leader, why she gave up Mistyfoot and Stonefur, who her kin where and basically every little detail of the old she-cats life....BRAVO Erin Hunter! I give this amazing book,5/5.

This book is truely one of the best warriors books. Before I read this, I never really liked bluestar all that much, because mostly i remembered her as the crazy leader she became at the end of the first series. This shows her journey and i LOVED her. I loved how it showed her human(haha) side and i was honestly crying for her multiple times in this book. Some great emotional writing in here, especially Moonflower and snowfurs deaths, mosskits death, the relationship with oakheart, and her struggle within herself which occured many times. Erin made me feel Bluestars sense of dispair and lonliness so well. Just read warriors books. They are ao much more that kids books.
