This was exciting for me mostly because it is the 400th book I've added to my Read shelf.It is not that many in comparison to others, but it is still a milestone in itself.Onto the book itself!I liked it, I can remember reading their adventures in Elementary School. The names they give the characters are not all that creative, but who cares right?It a fun little educational book about the adventures under the ocean and above. It teaches what different sea creatures look like, their size and what they eat.Excellent for kids.

Pretty fun addition to our summer science unit study on Marine Biology. Would have made a great first book to warm-up for the rest of the study but it was not available from the library until we were almost done. It made a nice review instead.

The Berenstain Bears Under the sea by Mike Berenstain is a delightful educational short story about the Berinstain Bears family who are exploring the sea. My boys (3 and 5) loved the story, but what they loved even more were the pictures – there are many different kinds of fish and sea creatures on each page. The book is not overfilled with information, so it is easy for the little listeners or readers to understand and not to get tired from the educational part. At the same time it is easy to stop on every page to discuss everything that catches children’s attention, because each page is dedicated to different ocean ecosystems. Plot: Berenstain Bear family was visiting Aquarium, when aquarium’s director aka professor suggested them to see the sea creatures in their natural habitat. (There is an explanation what is natural habitat and biology is.) On the professors Deep-Diver Submarine they sail to the Ocean and learn about the creatures who live on the surface, in upper waters, in coral reefs, in deeper waters, in even deeper waters, and at the bottom of the sea.
