** spoiler alert ** This is my favourite books in the series. I Heart #3 introduces in more depth the rest of Alex's band Stills which I was so interested in from the beginning. While playing a festival in Paris and holidaying with Angela for his 30th Birthday Alex bumps into his ex whose also playing for the festival. Alex and Angela are very make and break in this story and i like the outcome at the end of the book. My one disappoint is Jenny isn't in this book an awful lot.

Release Date: July 8, 2010 Genre: Chick LitI Heart Paris is the 3rd book in the I Heart series and should be read in order of publication. This is a fun and humorous chick lit series that will keep readers laughing at the misadventures of Angela for days! This is also one of my favorite chick lit series and reminds me of the Shopaholic series (without the shopping addiction) by Sophie Kinsella. So if you like Kinsella's books then you will love Lindsey Kelk's books! I am going to keep this review short and sweet because it is an "older" title. If you haven't read the series, you need to start with the first book - I Heart New York and go on from there. The entire series revolves around the heroine Angela and her adventures and mishaps around the world (well, almost). The stories (like this one) are fun, lighthearted, and downright hilarious! This is a must have series for all chick lit fans and I couldn't recommend it enough. In this one, Angela sets off to Paris with her boyfriend. Thinking it will be a lovely trip with lots of romance and galloping the streets of Paris Angela feels ecstatic. That is, until ex girlfriends come into the picture, her suitcase gets blown up, and someone plays her for a fool when it comes to her job. Sigh. Will Angela ever catch a break? Or will this trip to Paris shatter her world more then she ever thought possible? Read the book and you will find out!

I saw this book when I was looking in the library new books section and the cover shouted out to me even though it was an author I had not heard of before. The front cover looks like your typical fun, chick-lit style read. The problem was it was not until I got home and started to read that I found out that this book was the third in the series after I Heart New York and I heart Hollywood. I was unsure if to carry on reading as I was worried I wouldn't be able to fall into the story having not read the previous books. The trouble was I didn't have another book so I carried on. The book is about Angela Clarke who writes her own blog. At the beginning of this book her boyfriend, Alex, suggests a trip to Paris which fits in nicely with a new job opportunity for Angela to write a piece for Belle magazine on Paris and also for Alex to play at a festival. Trouble starts with the moment Angela gets on the plane and the disasters keep coming. When arriving in Paris Angela finds that her luggage has been blown up so she only has the items which she is standing in. If this was not bad enough when she walks into the cafe to meet Alex she sees a blonde bombshell sitting on his lap! Angela finds herself very isolated and a little home sick in this book when she finds out some truths about Alex's past, and finds herself at a point where her job, relationship, and friendships are all on the line. What was meant to be a nice romantic break to Paris was actually the break from hell. You find when you are reading this book you keep thinking surely things cannot get any worse for Angela but something else always seems to happen. As I said I didnt read the previous books but I have to say I still flowed along nicely with the story. There were a few references which kept coming up to do with a past relationship and a previous trip to LA which obviously I could not relate to. I would advise you to read the previous two books first! I was surprised how much I warmed to Angela as a character as I would have thought with there being three books her personality would have to grow on you but I did not find that this was the case. You generally felt for Angela on many occasions . There was a surprising twist towards the end of the book which I really did not see coming but had me on the edge of my seat! I do love a book with twists and not being able to predict what is going to happen in the next chapter. I do find many chick-lit books become repetitive but this book was defiantly not following in those footsteps. I enjoyed this book so much I am now going to try and get the other two books to read. I can only hope that they are as good, if not better than this book. This book is a light chick- lit read and would be an ideal holiday book. I still think that there could be another book released after this one as things were not tied up at the end of the book her life is still left hanging in the air.

4.5 starsI think this is the best book in the I Heart series so far. It is defenitely much better than I Heart Hollywood. This is a light and breezy read with lots of laughs throughout. Alex is such a dream boat. Their romantic story is so gripping. You almost want them to fight so you can read about their makeup. I only have one complaint. When Angela's talking to the crowd at that festival and she needs someone to translate for her because apparently people in Europe don't understand English... We Europeans are not savages you know. Most of us understand and speak English quite well. Take my word for it. So I found that scene a little stupid and very unrealistic and it knocked half a star off my rating. But overall the I Heart books never fail to make me smile and I always whiz through them wanting to know what mishap Angela will face next. Certainly not for readers wanting something serious and gritty but a nice read none the less.

The story of this book in the series wasn't my favourite, but it's still good.  I guess I thought it would be a little more, "Devil Wears Prada", but instead it felt a little more like, "The inbetweeners".  Whilst listening to this book, I thought it would be good to pair this with a book about Chanel, seeing as we're going to Paris and everything! I thought "i heart Paris" was code for "i heart Fashion", but sadly that doesn't come across here.  Not to worry, "i heart Hollywood" and "i heart Vegas", has some more inspiration for those fashionistas out there! We are first introduced to Angela's Marc by Marc Jacobs bag in book 1.  Angela comes across as never even experiencing fashion brand labels un her life, until she lands in America.  As she was living a sheltered life, it's not unusual to find out that she finds herself out of her depth working for Belle; a fashion magazine.  Nevertheless, I was still expecting Angela to be like the girl from "The Devil wears Prada", and come out looking drop dead gorgeous and fabulous by the end of it.  I thought her new assistant lapdog was going to turn her into a stunning princess.  But in a later book in the series, Kelk actually refers to this movie saying that real life isn't like "The Devil Wears Prada". The reality is that fashion is a little different in France.  For instance, French girls are a lot more casual and conservative, compared to American and even English ladies, as they tend to go about their day bare-faced and make-up free.  My french husband was shocked when he first encountered his first dose of Essex girls in England.  Not only was the orange mask frightening, but their behaviour was also a shocker.  He couldn't believe how agressive they can be, and Kelk shows this feistiness through her writing. But do not fear, Angie's fashionista spirit comes alive again in the following book after this.  Just like Hollywood, Vegas is in need of stilettos and slutty outfits.  In Paris, there's a scene where they go to a grotty music festival.  I say grotty, because it doesn't come across all punk-rock and sequins dresses.  I thought there would be more scenes of laughter and random friendships here, perhaps meeting another new character like the actor James Jacobs.  Instead it's full of bitchiness and rivalry.  Not just with the super hot ex girlfriend, but also with her other archenemy, Cici; the evil twin from hell.  I can see how the drama would be good for a movie, but I guess, I wasn't expecting this in the beautiful and romantic city of Paris.  This book feels a little confusing.  Angela is completely burnt out, running here and there.  It made me feel exhausted just listening to all the bullshit she had to trudge through. But it never started out that way.  Well, to be fair Angela getting her foot in the door when she did in book 1 felt like a bit if a fluke and now she was being put to the test.  This was make ir break it time.  For every part of her life. Angie begins as a girl boss, being flown away to a far off country for business.  She's living it large, writing for one of the top magazines in the world.  But then the crazy jealous bitches around her try to chew her up and spit her out.  Her career feels like it's being slowly torn at the edges and burned from the inside.  Angela doesn't know who to trust anymore, not Alex, not Jenny, not even Louisa or her mum.  From the end of book 1 and start of book 2, Alex and Angela looked like they had reached their "happily ever after" ending.  It almost felt like they were practically married!  But by the end of this book I was almost certain they were going to break up.  All in all, this book was a little depressing and probably my least favourite from the i heart series. Everything was going wrong for poor Angie.  My favourite description was about her shoes being blown up.  Aaah the drama!  If you are on the fence and wondering whether or not to carry on with this series, I can tell you that it does get better, and way funnier too.  Kelk touches upon so many issues and fantasies women think about or come across throughout their life.  This book is the filler episode; the bump in the road, part of the series, so whatever you do, don't stop here! If this was a stand alone book, I would give it 3 stars, but because it's part of a series, it gets 4 stars, because it's Lindsey Kelk and you can't really skip it. It's part of who she is. And like the french say, "We must suffer in this life".

Published: 08/07/2010Author: Lindsey KelkRecommended for: fan's of 'chick lit'i really do love the 'I Heart' series by the brilliant Lindsey Kelk and this one is an amazing addition to the series. This book features Angela Clark, Jenny Lopez and Alex Reid which are three amazing characters they each bring something fun and funny to the story. They are very likeable and relatable characters. The writing style makes the book flow effortlessly, it is the kind of 'chick lit' book that I love with the unpredictable Angela Clark, it has the amazing setting of the romantic Paris which suits it well as we follow Angela and Alex's relationship blossoming. This is a great lighthearted, romantic, funny, uplifting book which is perfect for fan's of 'chick lit' type books, and will likely make you want to read the rest of the series. You can read this one by itself you don't need to have read all the other books.

Favourite one of the series so far. Just love all the British humour Lindsey Kelk puts into her stories. I have listened to all of this series [so far] on audiobook and the narrator is really good and does great accents. It's also nice to have the same narrator for all the books so the characters voices stay consistent :)

En weer een heerlijk vehaal over Angela Clark, ditmaal in Parijs. Wat een drama een mens kan meemaken om het vervolgens weer allemaal op een rijtje te krijgen. Just an ordinary chicklit with a bunch of humor and dramas. Ondanks dat naar mijn idee elk boek dezelfde verhaallijn heeft, wordt het niet saai. We blijven dan gewoon weer doodleuk verder lezen in deze serie.

I Heart Paris seeps with ‘Sex and the City’ type romances and city views. With promises of Paris on the front cover, Kelk dives right into the story and we whisk off to Paris in no time. This is the third novel in a series of I Heart books and I have to say I did enjoy it. You would need to have read the firstTwo novels to really get a sense of Angela’s personality and character. She is incredible quirky, and not to mention really quite clumsy, but it all adds to her, sometimes, immature nature. She is desperate to be loved and I did struggle with her relationship with Alex. It does seem a tad forced on her side and a bit desperate. And she has completely landed on her feet when it comes to her job. The reasons for going to Paris slotted together a bit too easily and it made the trip a little bit unbelievable if looking at it from a real life stance. But! And I say that with huge commitment. This is a romance comedy. It is not supposed to be true to life. As an author you are meant to be able to flower up reality. Kelk does a brilliant job of bringing Angela back down to earth through a series of mishaps along the way which makes her far more relatable. Kelly’s ability to describe Paris is incredible. I felt like I was really there with Angela, and her disappointment was also mine. The speech was easy to read and very natural, controlling the flow of the novel. We pause to have a narrative on Angela’s thoughts every now and then to keep her personality crystal clear. I liked the fact that Kelk also keeps these novels very clean. The controlled build up to sex certainly leaves the reader hot and sweaty, but Kelk manages to break off just at the pivotal moment and the reader is left with just their imagination and a bead of sweat on their forehead. I am really looking forward to the next instalment in the I Heart Series.

The third book in the I Heart series, I HEART PARIS follows on the story of Angela writing her blog for thelook.com and when her boyfriend Alex mentions he has been asked to play at a festival in Paris and wants her to go with him see thinks this would be a great trip and ends up turning into a work trip too. But when they get to Paris, Angela or Alex didn't know that his ex-girlfriend Solene would be there to make trouble...I love this series, they are really light hearted and put you through the emotions, laughing, crying, smiling and shouting. I think they are written perfectly and i love Angela and Alex they are soo good together, I can relate to Angela really easily because she it just a normal girl who likes to watch gossip girl and america's next top model eating Ben and Jerrys.I thought this storyline was very good it reversed from I HEART HOLLYWOOD a little with Alex thinking something was going on with Angela and James Jacobs now it's Angela's turn to think something is going on with Alex and Solene. I am also so glad that Jenny seems to have moved back to New York for good, she is suched a funny character and helps Angela out a lot, she really needs her.I really hope there is another book in this series, maybe one to do with weddings?

I enjoyed this book a lot more than the second one. This time, Angela went to Paris with Alex to celebrate his birthday and because he was performing at a festival. Angela got given a job at Belle magazine to write a piece about her trip to Paris. The trip was meant to be a romantic get away but things soon went wrong. Angela still really annoys me as a character as when she has problems with Alex she ignores them rather than talking about them. There are elements of her character that are really relatable though and I really enjoyed seeing the Gossip Girl references. This series is a very light hearted and the books are quick reads. The situations at times seem really extreme, but there are elements that are quite realistic. I like seeing how the characters have changed from the first book.

** spoiler alert ** I liked this book so much more than the previous book in this series, in fact I think it is my favorite installment-so far. I had told myself that if I didn’t enjoy this book, I would give-up reading the series altogether. Angie and Alex’s relationship is far better established in this book, we get to see more of Alex‘s band, Jenny Lopez is far enough away to not be constantly berating Angie (even though it appears she’ll be more present in the next novel) and we see the small threads of friendship start to weave back together with Louisa. Of course, there’s Angie’s usual awkward and uncoordinated antics throughout the book, her ability to trust the wrong people, and her nearly crippling low self-esteem are displayed for truly cringe-worthy and hilarious situations to take hold.I really enjoyed Angie’s ability to stand-up more for herself in this story (even if it resorted to slapping, hair pulling, and upending an iced coffee on someone’s head); I would really like to see more emotional maturity evolve in this character in future novels.

More of a 3.5For this chaotic adventure, Angela and Alex head to Paris. Alex's band is playing in a festival and Angie gets to tag along. Not all fun of course. She also has to keep writing her blog and also write a traveler's article for a fashion magazine called Belle. She has no idea what is what in Paris and expects to have help from Virginie (who works for Belle) and CiCi (who works for The Look). However, fashion and jealousy are dangerous in the world of Paris and of course typical Angela, anything that can go wrong....will.While I did enjoy this one more than Hollywood, it doesn't hold a candle to New York. This had major Devil Wears Prada vibes so parts of it were funny with equal parts frustration. I honestly don't know what I would do if I had a friend like Angela... probably take out some disaster insurance policy for best friends 🤣🤣🤣 I'm interested to see what chaos and disruption happens on her next adventure.

This has been one of my fave I Heart Lindsay Kelk books to date! For me these fluffy books go beyond a cute read chick lit book, and they really draw you into the story especially the character of Angela, and that is why they are such a quick read. This one though, was bloody hilarious from start to finish, from Cici the Spencer from Hell getting her luggage and her Louboutins blown up, to a gloves off all out cat fight on a stage in front of thousands of screaming fans!!! AND everything in between.I Heart Angela! And this series! I am hoping to read more books and finish the series, I am really enjoying this author as she is completely kick ass at making me LOL while reading. I like that she has a rock star boyfriend, recently I am imagining it is me and that it is RM/Namjoon from BTS who is mah boyfriend.... dose dimples doe... n he so tall... ok... Anyhoo, a five star fluffy read!! 💌
