Immortal Ever After audiobook

Another great addition to the Argeneau series. Read this one in less than 24 hours, it just grabbed me from page one. It seems like the books in this series are either very light hearted and almost silly in the angst that the characters get into or they are darker and more serious and meaty while still being such fun to read. Immortal Ever After is definitely one of the more serious additions to this long running series. I love the way that this author weaves humor, strong alpha males and stubborn independent females all around either an outrageously wild situation or a very serious threat. In this book we get to catch a glimpse of past leads and see how they are doing after their H.E.A, and with 18 titles there are plenty of characters I would love to see again, I must re-read this series sometime. We get to see one of my favorite former Alpha leads who is always so tough and scary but still lovable, Lucian and his life mate Leigh as they reach the end of Leigh's pregnancy. It was really fun to watch as they drove each other nuts with Leigh's independent streak and Lucian's overbearing protectiveness. I really do recommend this series to my friends that love paranormal, they are great books that will suck you in and leave you laughing out loud.

I loved this story . Sands injected it with her trademark brand of suspence , humor , & steamy sex . It's a sexy read loaded with plenty of action . We see lots of old faces . Lucian & Leigh & their bundle of joy get lots of face time . Immortal Ever After is a must read for fans of the Argeneau Family series . Fans old & new are gonna love it ! I still want to know what happens with her clinic, but whatever.It was cute and definitely humorous.I LOVED Anders first name. Ridiculousness!!

The book features our hero Anders and our heroine Valerie. It starts off with Valerie being kidnapped and held hostage with 6 other young women. Each are kept drugged and in cages and are brought out for dinner one night a week. The women can't see each other due to being kept in a dark basement but find talking to each other helps sooth some of the horror. All the women believe that the guy and his helper (dubbed Igor) are crazy, that he's living some weird Vampire fantasy. Eventually Valerie realizes that their food is being drugged and decides that she will forego her daily meal of oatmeal and water to keep her wits about her when it's time for her night out. When her night arrives, she is lucid enough to concoct an escape plan. She pretends at first to be drugged, all the while looking for anything that can be used as a weapon. When she is dragged into an upstairs bathroom, she jumps her assailant and stakes him. She, of course, finds a phone to call 911 but then hears the garage door opening and realizes that who she assaulted was only Igor and the bigger threat is on his way to her. After she calls 911, she makes her escape through a window, knowing the police won't make it in time to help her. Enter our hero, Anders. His group of Vampire/Immortal enforcers have waylaid the 911 call and have arrived at the house in question to clean up the rouge immortals' mess and bring him to justice without letting the mortals know their kind exist. After a thorough investigation and look around the property, Anders ends up finding Valerie passed out in the bushes due to her injuries, starvation and a jump from a two-story house. When Anders decides to try to give her some medical attention, she ends up waking up in the process and it's at that moment, when Anders tries to enter her mind to soothe her, that he realizes he can't read her......(queue the "dun, dun, dun" music). OK enough spoilers! If you aren't familiar with Lynsay Sands Argeneau Series, It's about a family of Immortal Atlantians who were subject to an Atlantian medical experiment gone array. They were injected with Nanos but when Atlantis fell, no one was there to help take them out. The Nanos have evolved to give the descendants the classic "Vampire" attributes but they claim they are not vampires. Anywho, one of the attributes is a selection process by the Nanos for their host in which they choose the perfect "life mate" and one of the tale tell signs is not being able to mind read that person. All the false Vampire/Atlantian stuff aside, Lynsay Sands has brought to the PNR world a wonderful series with the Argeneau's. It's definitely a classic HEA based in the PNR world. Each book features some descendant from the original Argeneau family or central character to the books. They are definitely fun reads with very strong characters. What I loved most about this book is that the heroine, Valerie, is definitely not the typical female PNR mortal character waiting for rescue from the big sexy Vampire man. All through the book, she is rescuing herself and/or others. Anders very rarely is on the scene when rescuing is needed, which is actually kind of funny.As a fan of the series, I definitely thought this was a great addition to the ongoing series and would highly recommend it for a PNR read.

Anders has been an Enforcer for many years and has watched his fellow Enforcers fall victim to life mates one by one. When an unusual 911 call comes in that the Enforcers respond to, Anders is amazed to find he has discovered his life mate.Valerie has literally just escaped from the house of Hell. She had been kidnapped and held in a cage with several other women for almost 2 weeks. She managed to stab one of her captors and call 911. When she is talking to her rescuers she doesn't know how to explain to them that she was attacked by a psycho vampire. There is no such as thing as vampires, right?When she is taken back to Lucien and Leigh's house for recovery she doesn't question the kindness of the ones who rescued her and finds that she is quickly falling for the sexy Enforcer, Anders. When they all realize that she is Anders life mate they attempt to show her what he really is like and a very pregnant Leigh makes a great matchmaker!

5 von 5 SternenIch bin ein großer Fan der Argeneau Reihe, hatte aber erst einmal eine Pause eingelegt, nachdem Band 17 als Hörbuch herausgekommen war und ich es beendet hatte. Jetzt sind 3 weitere Bände als Hörbuch erschienen und es war Zeit wieder einmal zu den Argeneaus 'zurückzukehren'.Dies war für mich wohl das beste Pärchen, der gesamten Reihe. Das Buch hätte sogar meine Sonderwertung von 5+ Sternen bekommen, wäre da nicht diese dumme Kosenamen-Debakel. An sich fand ich das Paar einfach ideal für einander geschaffen. Auch die Geschichte drumherum, gefiel mir unglaublich gut, hat mich die ganze Zeit an das Hörbuch gefesselt und ich habe es sehr schnell durchgehört. Die Geschichte, um die Entführung von Valerie (weibl. Hauptperson) und der anderen Frauen war aus meiner Sicht super geschrieben und die Liebesgeschichte mit Anders sowieso. Anders war schon immer einer meiner Lieblingscharaktere. Ansonsten fand ich es wieder richtig klasse, dass die anderen Argeneaus wieder viele Auftritte bekamen. Einfach so toll. Vor allem, wie es bei Lucian und Leigh weiterging, fand ich sehr interessant. Also neben Band 9 (mit Marguerite und Julius) und Band 17 (Jeanne und Paul) ist dass nun ein weiterer Lieblingsband dieser Reihe für mich.

"—Bueno, eso se sintió bien —dijo Anders sombrío y cuando lo miró con sorpresa, él se encogió de hombros y admitió—: Es agradable ser capaz de salvarte para variar, en lugar de aparecer después de que ya te hayas salvado a ti misma."Los protagonistas son Valerie y Anders, se conocen cuando Valerie es secuestrada junto con otras mujeres, por un maldito renegado, un grupo de ejecutores las salva.Valerie es una mujer muy fuerte, valiente, me gustan las protagonistas que no se dejan pisotear, al ser una posible compañera de vida de Anders, se decide que se quede en casa de Lucian y Leigh, para que se conozcan.Anders es el menos hablador y casi igual de gruñón que Lucian, no buscaba una compañera de vida, después de ver caer a varios de sus compañeros por amor, no estaba muy dispuesto a enamorarse, pero los nanos mandan 😅Es una historia muy divertida, con momentos de suspenso, me gusto mucho como Leigh y Valerie vuelven locos a los hombres para que hagan lo que ellas quieren, pobres Justin y Anders, Lucian es muy vengativo 😂Hay dos hermosos nuevos miembros en la familia Argeneau, me pone muy feliz, los amo a todos.

Well, Sands came through just like I knew she would. This is the first paranormal romance of hers I’ve read and I really enjoyed it! It doesn’t hold a candle to her highland romances, but that might be more about my preference for highland than her writing.Anders and Valerie’s love story was both fun and ridiculous. Sands’ play on the usual vampire story had interesting features and was definitely different than the usual. I have to say, I always appreciate how she has the women save themselves just about as often as the men save them. It’s a nice balance.The plot of this story played out well- the timing was just right, not too slow or fast. I was never bored but nothing felt rushed. It was pretty easy to predict when something bad was going to happen, but how the characters got out of those situations was unexpected!And the “life mates shared pleasure” thing was so strange and I loved it. Nice job, Sands!
