Rheinblut: Band 1 der Düssel-Krimis Im Park des Schlosses Mickeln in Düsseldorf Himmelgeist wird die Leiche eines Mannes gefunden. Der grauenhaft zugerichtete Mann trägt Frauenkleidung. Der seit Jahren in Düsseldorf lebende Michael Oberle und der aus Köln strafversetzte Josef Jupp Schmidtz bilden das Ermittlerteam der KK 11. Die Beiden stehen vor einer besonders kniffligen Aufgabe: die Umstände des Todes sind äusserst pikant und es handelt sich bei dem Toten um den Schwiegersohn eines bekannten Düsseldorfer Unternehmers. Ohne externe Hilfe ist eine Ermittlung in der fremdartigen Welt der Transgender äusserst schwierig. und darüber hinaus ergeben erste Ermittlungen, dass der Ermordete auch in der SM-Szene aktiv war. Die Nachforschungen drehen sich im Kreis und es findet sich kein handfester Ermittlungsansatz. Da geschieht ein zweiter Mord, dieses Mal auf dem Friedhof in Düsseldorf Hassels. Die Tat zeigt die gleichen Merkmale wie die in Himmelgeist. Treibt ein Serienmörder in der Rhein-Metropole sein Unwesen, der es auf Transvestiten abgesehen hat? Oberle und Schmitz geraten langsam unter Druck. und sie müssen feststellen, dass dieser Fall ihre Freundschaft auf eine harte Probe stellt.
