Stick Dog Craves Candy Audiobook Narrator

Andrew Eiden is the narrator of Stick Dog Craves Candy audiobook that was written by Tom Watson

Tom Watson lives in Chicago with his wife, daughter, and son. He also has a dog, as you could probably guess. The dog is a Labrador-Newfoundland mix. Tom says he looks like a Labrador with a bad perm. He wanted to name the dog “Put Your Shirt On” (please don’t ask why), but he was outvoted by his family. The dog’s name is Shadow. Early in his career Tom worked in politics, including a stint as the chief speechwriter for the governor of Ohio. This experience helped him develop the unique, storytelling narrative style of the Stick Dog books. More important, Tom’s time in politics made him realize a very important thing: Kids are way smarter than adults. And it’s a lot more fun and rewarding to write stories for them than to write speeches for grown-ups.

Stick Dog and his friends return for another adventure in the seventh installment of the Stick Dog series: Stick Dog Craves Candy. While out on their nightly scavenger hunt for food, Stripes sees something terrifying. Two witches in a house across the street!Poo-Poo, Mutt, Karen and Stripes look to Stick Dog for answers. Realizing that it must be Halloween, he and his friends come up with a plan to get candy from all of the houses in the neighborhood. Can this band of pooches remain unseen in their candy quest? Will humans spoil their Halloween fun? Will anyone ever figure out what Karen is talking about?I could not put this book down! I absolutely love it! Stick Dog and his hilarious canine companions are sure to tickle readers' funny bones. I found myself laughing at their antics with every turn of the page. I can also relate to Stick Dog's role as leader as he tries to deal with his friends in a caring and compassionate manner even when they frustrate him.I also love how the pages of the book look like that of a notebook. It gives the reader a feeling that he/she is reading a diary. The unique spacing of text is very eye catching and makes for added suspense. Watson's illustrations are basic, yet adorable and funny. Children will be drawn (no pun intended) to the characters of Stick Dog and his friends. My personal favorite is Karen, the Dachshund. Owning a Dachshund, I can easily relate to Karen's forgetful personality. This is a wonderful book for anyone who loves Halloween and dogs. Children ages 8-12 will delight in Stick Dog's adventures. I cannot wait to read more books from this wonderful series.

Stick Dog and his friends Mutt, Karen, Stripes and Poo-Poo are once again looking for food. There are little humans all dressed up in costumes carrying bags and buckets. When the little humans go to the doors of houses, the big humans give them candy. How can the dogs get in on this? Another silly offering by Watson, book 7 is just as much fun. Although each book stands on its own - Book 1 should be read first. The illustrations are simple and funny (and are the best part of the book) A very easy read, this series would be a great transition into chapter books. While the humor would not be lost on middle schoolers, the simplicity of this text is better suited for elementary school. Cross posted to http://kissthebook.blogspot.com CHECK IT OUT!

Ah, Stick Dog, he makes us laugh, often out loud, and this book was no exception. Stick Dog's friends are equally funny, although in their case you are laughing time at them. Stick Dog's reactions to his friends' antics, and the strength, patience and kindness he shows, is equally funny. My son's reactions makes these books a joy to read out loud.

Again we are reading this book together for school and Mom and Dad are rolling our eyes and shaking our heads and son is laughing so much he can't even read. I don't know guess it's a kid thing.

My favorite character was Karen because she never listens and is so cute and the fact that nobody really listens to stick dog and that stick dog made an observation that they're not real monsters because they're all wearing sneakers I would like a little bit more because the ending is almost starting another chapter and it could of went to an exiting part.
