The Rule of Nine audiobook

I love this series featuring lawyer Paul Madriani. The blend of high intrigue and family are excellent. Good thriller with good familiar characters and a scary villain. Paul Madriani doesn't have any superhero friends; just good old fashioned brains. (Well, I guess his investigator, Diggs, is a pretty tough dude and very smart.) I haven't read the previous book (Guardian of Lies) but will move to correct that. I had both that and #12 on my shelves. I just grabbed #11 and started it. Maybe because I didn't read the previous book, this one took a little bit of time to get into. Anyway, I liked it a lot. Moving on to TRADER OF SECRETS.

Again -- it is as if Martini is taking his defense attorney, Madriani, in a complete different direction.Missing from this novel is any Legal/Courtroom action.What is packed in instead? Action. The evil assassin from the last book lives on and is out to get revenge on Paul and his family. The assassin is entwined in a plot by an old domestic terrorist to kill the 9 Supreme Court Justices so the President will be able to refill the court with all his own nominees. Murder mayhem and bombs and terrorists. Between Paul and the FBI the plan is stopped. But will Paul's family ever be safe ??

Steve Martini’s Paul Madriani Series are fast paced legal thrillers with well crafted plots which will have you guessing until the end. Attorney Paul Madriani just seems to attract clients who draw him into mysterious situations that in turn draw Madriani into unraveling the threads to help his clients.

Attorney Paul Madrani, his partner, Harry Hinds and their investigator Herman are all being hunted by the perpetrators of a near nuclear blast in Coronado. Paul decides that they must go into hiding. He sends his daughter Sarah and Harry to stay with relatives while he and Herman track down the villains.

Another exciting book in this series with several characters in addition to the main characters appearing from previous books. Still appears to be some unfinished business the Paul is going to have to take care of. Very intriguing book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend it.

Just OK for me for a Steve Martini book. My real rating is 3.5. I hope the author gets back on track with the next effort.

I am enjoying reading books by this author. Love the female PI. Reminds me a little of Sue Grafton

Thought provoking thriller which depicts the impact of the Supreme court

Pretty good books. I like that they are a different sort of detective novel.

Interesting but complicated premise. Lots of high tech with the plot.

First book read by this author - It was a fun read and kept me guessing until the end. Will be reading more by Mr Martini
