Una novela espectacular en muchos aspectos: increíblemente bien escrita, con unas tramas de infarto y unos personajes llenos de oscuridad que juegan en todo momento con el lector.Las novelas de Alyson Noël por lo general siempre me han gustado, y en este caso me ha demostrado por qué. Es capaz de crear historias enrevesadas presentadas de manera simple, sencilla y directa . Consigue que todos los personajes de la historia jueguen papeles importantes, sin dejar a unos por detrás de otros, y haciendo que los secundarios también tengan peso.Pero es que Sin igual se ha ganado el título de una de las mejores novelas que he leído este 2016. Llena de giros inesperados, es una novela que nos muestra la peor parte de Hollywood, la que está llena de drogas, coacciones y traiciones. He disfrutado cada palabra, cada capítulo, cada giro. Me ha mantenido en vilo en todo momento y no puedo parar de pensar en ella y, sobre todo, de recomendarla. Y es que no solo por la trama, sino por las increíbles historias de cada uno de los personajes. Están tan bien construidos y llegas a conocerlos tanto que es imposible despegarte de sus páginas.No sé qué decir. Es de estos libros que me han fascinado tanto que no sé cómo ser coherente con esta reseña. Ha tenido fallos, sí, pero en conjunto es una gran novela que merece la pena destacar. Leedla, haceos con ella en cuanto salga. POR FAVOR. Pronto os hablaré de ella en el canal. Necesito fangirlear, y mucho.

Donde les importa un carajo mantener el anonimato porque lo que todos quiere en L.A. es la fama y la fortuna, cueste lo que cueste.Un libro sorprendentemente adictivo, que mantiene tu interés desde el mismísimo primer momento. Con personajes bien definidos y con contextos fuertes. No tenemos mártires, no tenemos monjas; este libro está lleno de personajes ambiciosos y astutos que aunque saben lo que quieren, no siempre usan las formas más convenientes para lograrlo.Es un libro ambicioso, pues tiene casi 5 voces narrativas (perspectivas) diferentes. A veces esto le juega en contra porque tiende a confundir, pero creo que vale pena pues puedes conocer las motivaciones personales de cada personaje principal; y en este libro eso es lo que más entretiene y te hace pensar: las motivaciones tan diferentes pero a la vez tan similares de cada uno de los personajes.Todos quieren el éxito y la felicidad, pero para cada uno estas dos palabras significan algo muy distinto. Me gustó bastante, especialmente porque aunque Ira Redman no es uno de los protagonistas, se roba TODO el protagonismo. Todos los personajes hablan de cómo el mundo queda eclipsado por él, y en este mismo juego entra el lector que lo único que puede pensar es en su proceder. Es un gran logro de la autora y su construcción de la historia.NO es un 5 porque no voy a negar que aunque es un libro trepidante, emocionante y con un final provocador; no pasa de ser casi como un tabloide de chismes. Husmeas en la vida de los personajes pero no te involucras con ellos, tienen una visión de la vida con la cual es muy difícil sentirse identificado. Dicen que hay suspenso y realmente casi no lo sentí. Y la trama "real" que nos prometen en la sinopsis, realmente se empieza a desarrollar casi después del 60% del libro.4 estrellas y NECESITO LEER EL SIGUIENTE.

Me ha encantado. Es una novela que reúne varias de las cosas que me gustan en un libro: Intriga, romances, drama... Me puse a leerlo y cuando quise darme cuenta ya estaba metida de lleno en la historia. Es para leerlo del tirón, para cogerlo con tiempo porque no podrás parar una vez lo empieces. No puedo esperar para leer la continuación.

While Unrivaled still has the fun and frothy backstabbing you look for in all your teen dramas, it is sadly lacking in fun fashion because almost everyone is poor.

Really REALLY enjoyed this in a bang on, bright and bubbly way. Like Pretty little Liars meets Gossip Girl with a glossy engaging cast, a bit of mystery and a lot of life. Full review to follow. Also big book love for Tommy. And his guitar.

More 3.5-4 than a solid 4 but it's so trashy it's good.

What do you get when you have a town full of wannabe celebrities? Ones that are willing to do anything to get their shot at fame which could lead to bigger and better things? For a group of five, they will do anything that they can. Ira Redman is the man to have an "in" with when it comes to Hollywood and LA. He is also the owner of several clubs and has a competition to help promote his clubs, kind of similar to Donald Trump's The Apprentice show. Here we meet Layla, Tommy, and Aster. Layla is a journalist wanting to get her big shot, so she sees this as her way to the insider world of clubs and celebrities. Tommy is a musician and also Ira's secret son that not even Ira knows and Aster is a stunning ethnic girl who wants out from under her parent's control and to make it as an actress/model. On the other side of the actual celebrity world, we have Madison - a current actress who is HOT at the moment and Ryan who is her Hollywood boyfriend who also is on the way out. During the competition we read as each of the three will interact with Madison and when she disappears will become suspects in her so-called Murder. Filled with text messages of threatening to expose Madison's past - someone wants her to disappear but what will happen when they have the opportunity to use Layla, Tommy, and Aster as scapegoats? Find out in Book #1 Unrivaled which though the tagline read Gossip Girl meets Pretty Little Liars, I found more Gossip Girl like than Pretty Little Liars and had hoped that in this book we could have got a deeper look into Madison's past, but let's hope that happens in Book #2 Blacklist.

3,5 Sterne! Ich muss wirklich sagen dass mich dieses Buch positiv überrascht hat mit unterhaltsamen Charakteren, und zum Schluss doch immer mehr Spannung. Leider hat es sehr lange gebraucht um richtig Fahrt aufzunehmen, allerdings war das Ende dann wirklich fesselnd. Trotz des Abzuges an Sternen kann ich dieses Buch nur weiter empfehlen und denke, dass es mit FOrtschritt der Reihe immer besser wird. Die Autorin beweist mal wieder, dass sie schreiben kann, egal ob im Fantasy oder Contemporary-Thrill Genre. Wer eine spannende Geschichte mit unterschiedlichen Charakteren, einem gnadenlosen Wettbewerb und jeder Menge Intrigen sucht, der ist hier definitiv an der richtigen Adresse!

Ive read this book with some interruptions and I must admit that at first I wasn't really enjoying it, but it turned out to be much more than what I've expected!Ive read a comment that said that this book was very similar to PLL, and even tough, yes I like PLL, those who see the TV show have to agree that it has became kind of annoying with twists after twists, lies after lies, people who aren't who they claim to be...But no, this books turned out to not have those no-go contents. Of course, it had some of the cliché "Hollywood thing", but to the end it has really became interesting and I'm quite interested in the following book!

Just finished this omg it was amazing!! Once I picked this up I couldn't put it down this book just sucked me in. This book is mystery it just kept me on my toes at every turn. I will have save this one of my top favorite books that I read so far this year. Now I am going crazy knowing I have to wait a whole year for the next book in the series and to know what happens.

Me ha gustado mucho, se lee súper rápido ya que tiene capítulos cortos y lo mejor es que se dividen entre 4 perspectivas lo cual me fascina!

This book combined sultry, sweet, spicy, and everything else I love in a good novel. It had the typical teen drama with gossip, adventure, suspense, murder, and mystery. It was anything and everything I look for in a book. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I bought this book without knowing what it was about, and that just made it better. It fit in perfectly with my current trend of Pretty Little Liars, and Gossip Girl. If you like those TV shows, or practically anything written by Sara Shepard (like me) you are guaranteed to fall in love with this book. This book shows the darker side of the ever-so-loved, everyone's-dream, HOLLYWOOD. It shows us the perspective of different people living in Hollywood all trying to chase their dreams: whether it be to get their name out there, escape boring relationships, get money to pursue their dreams, etc and connects them all. There is a game where this super rich gazillionaire basically gives each of these people one of his nightclubs to promote and whichever club gets the most money/people/outcome/fame each week is the weekly winner. The worst promoter is kicked out each week and the best ones get money to help continue making their promoting better. The end result is a LARGE AMOUNT OF PRIZEMONEY and they get to keep their job as a promotor. The catch phrase of this book is "Welcome to the party" and "Just how far will you go to get what you want?" both of which fit in perfectly. The people are often stuck in the dilemma of having to win the contest, or stick with their comforts, family morals, or friend pressure. They often have to choose between what's the right option and what they want to do. It's intense and I couldn't stop thinking about this book. I could easily see this translated into a movie and I guarantee that it will be in the future. (Refer back to this review when it IS a movie lol) I feel like Layla, one of the characters from the book, because I'm blogging ! But it's a little bit different because this is book blogging. The things I liked best about this book was how it never got boring. There were new twists and turns and it kept you guessing. There was never a boring part. I also liked how the little events all had a big impact on the long run and how each scene/chapter advanced the plot. I liked how although there were so many perspectives, it was easy to make out the differences and keep track of the stories because they were all so distinct. I liked how the character development was so strong and evident but it never took away from the hype story line. I liked how there was a mix of guy and girl characters, adding diversity to the story and they all came from such different lifestyles, so at least you can relate to one of them and pick and choose your favourties/least favourites and relate to how they deal with problems, and the decisions they make. I honestly loved each drip of this story, and I could not get enough. I'm anxiously waiting for the sequel because I need to know what happens next! IT'S FANTASTIC! There is nothing that I didn't like about the story... except TELL ME WHAT HAPPENS NEXT! WHY DID IT HAVE TO END IN A CLIFFHANGER ITS LIKE ENDING THE BOOK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BOOK! UGH! xx

3.5 starsI was a huge fan of Noel's Evermore series, so you can imagine I have been very happy to hear that there will be a new book. And I needed to get my hands on this. I am not going to lie, the first 20% have been rather slow, but stay with it. This book is a grower. Its as if it gets over the hill and then speeds up faster and faster. Because as you read along it just gets better and better. The first 20% however only seem slow, because there is so many characters to meet. Ira is rich, famous and intimidating, he owns a chain of nightclubs and designs a competition for promoters. The winner gets not only cash but their dreamjob. The main applicants couldn't be more different and they all have completely different reasons to enter. And not all reasons are straight forward. Layla wants to be a journalist, she is a blogger already but she wants to go to Journalism School. She enters the competition to find out what happened to Carlos and make this her first story. Tommy does it to meet and probably impress his father, but also because he is fired from his job and out of money. Aster enters to escape her very controlling parents, to have the career she wants and not the one that's mapped out for her. She wants to be an actress and make new contacts in the nightclubs. And then there is Madison Brooks. Hollywoods sweetheart who has more to hide then any of them. She is on top of every vip list and everyone would love to get her into their club to win the competition. But at what price? They are all competition, all but Madison, and they all want to win. Its all a little bit like the apprentice at times. But like the apprentice with bite and money. With glitz and glamour. I loved it. The competition begins to change people. Who can you trust? Who is your true friend and who is going to surprise you? This has been getting more and more interesting with every page. The plots started to thicken and the end was just wow. Its the end that truly makes this book fantastic! There is more right? I sure hope so. I think the main characters and even the ones around it have blossomed in the book and I want to read more about them. Not only that but I think they have so much more to give. Honestly pick this up and stick with it, it will grow on you like it did on me and in the end you will thoroughly enjoy it. Its like the apprentice meets gossip girl! Glamourous, captivating and thrilling. Most of all completely unpredictable. La verdad que me ha sorprendido bastante este libro, yo tengo un conflicto con Alyson Noel ya tiene bastante tiempo que leí su saga "Evermore" de la cual salí un poquito decepcionado pero decidí darle otra oportunidad con esta historia."Beautiful Idols" es su nueva serie de libros, que si metieramos en una licuadora "Pretty Little Liars" "Gossip Girl" y "Teen Vogue" saldría el primer libro "Unrivaled" de esta saga de libros, que he de suponer que por eso me gustó bastante.El libro desde el primer capitulo te deja con un twist que necesitas seguir leyendo para ver que pasa, es un libro que como lo dije contiene los mismos ingredientes que los libros de Sara Shepard por lo que se lee rapidísimo y enseguida te sumerges en la historia.En este primer libro contamos con cuatro puntos de vista, por lo que nos ayuda a tener varios puntos de vista, desde un rockero amateur hasta una estrella de cine que es acosada por paparazzis.En conclusión puedo decir que disfruté bastante este libro, tuve un problema con el final porque es muy abrupto, no sé ni que paso, así que solo queda esperar al segundo libro, si te gusta las historias con secretos, glamour y dramas adolescentes, sin duda este es tu tipo de libro.
