I love Janet Evanovich's romances, they are so funny. I love them because the people in them seem real with real problems and they are easy to relate to. This one is probably one of my favorites, I always enjoy romances that involve a single parent and this one was no exception and Evanovich always seems to find a way to include one crazy old lady into the mix!The cover shows a dog and a rabbit and honestly I thought that would be part of the story. It was actually, but only a very small part. This was a fast, easy read. I couldn't put it down, I couldn't wait to see what would happen next and I wasn't disappointed!! Our heroine has quite a way of capturing the hero's heart!!! Brilliant and funny!! You don't have to like romance novels to enjoy this book, this is just a fun book that anyone could enjoy just about.

OK, I don't normally read very many romances, but I'm a huge fan of Evanovich's series about Stephanie Plum, so when I saw some of her romances listed at the library I decided, "Why not?" and gave a couple a try. I am so glad I did! This book is hysterical! Almost from the very first page I was laughing and I didn't really stop until the book was over and I realized I had grown to like the characters and wanted them to stick around! A single Mom meets a scruffy, good looking stranger when he stops to offer her help with her broken down car....and she winds up breaking his arm! That's just the beginning of this joyously bumpy ride through their relationship and it only gets better! Like I said....hysterical! It's a 'must read' for anyone who enjoys romance and/or comedy and/or Janet Evanovich's wicked sense of humor! Enjoy!

This was a fun laugh-filled romp. The plot was a bit far-fetched, what with Ken just moving himself into the home Chris shares with her daughter and her aunt, and I'm not a big fan of falling-in-love-in-a-matter-of-days storylines, but I liked Ken and was kept amused by the banter between, well, everybody. My only disappointment was that shortly after being introduced, the dog (pictured on the cover) was taken to somewhere else to stay and did not reappear until the very end of the book.

This was a delightful romp with Chris, who's a very busy ice skate coach and Ken, who stopped to fix her decrepit car. He is not all he says he is. There are sparks between them, lots of laughs and a sweet story ensues. The author wrote this long before the Stephanie Plum novels but it was a short and lots of fun.

Just a cute, fun, quick read. At 24, my car died because I didn't know about the oil thing! Naïve? yes!

This book gets 5 stars just because it was adorable. Its a romance, a fairy tale but told in Evanovich`s voice it had humor and characters that you can't help but love.

Breaking down on the side of the road was the worst way for Chris Nelson to start her day. Adding to a broken car, when Ken Callahan stopped to help her, she accidentally broke his arm. Having a broken arm was not something that Ken had planned for his week, but his decision to go with the flow of things led him to living in Chris’ basement and then a broken toe also. The surprising attraction they both felt for each other grew even through the eggs on the floor and burnt dinners, but will it be enough to overcome the heartbreak that Chris expected because of past hurts. This is another of Janet Evanovichs re-release, this one was originally published in 1987 but for the most part, you can’t tell that it is out of time. What a fun and distracting book, I enjoyed Ken and his laid back attitude, I knew from the beginning that there was something off - so it was predictable. Chris was occasionally funny, sometimes annoying and always very easy to read. They fell in love a little too quickly and easily, I felt like we missed part of Ken’s personality (like being prone to spontaneity) because of his guardedness. Wish there had been more of Dog/Bob, he made such a cute cover.

This was a nice change of pace from all the suspense I've been reading/listening to. I definitely found myself laughing out loud throughout this one. It's a little bit older, but I enjoyed it.

Really cute funny book. I love Janet Evanovich when she is writing with humor. These little books were some of her best from her early days of writing even before Plum. If you want a quick fun read this is it.

Cute. Much better then the last few of hers I have read. The characters are more believable.

Wish the Rottweiler had played a bigger roleGood book for the genre. Just looking at the cover, I thought the book would be a mystery and the Rottweiler would be very involved in solving it. Imagine my surprise! The book was predictable (boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl back), but it was very well written. I guess everyone can tell romance is not my genre of choice, but I can be fair about the writing. If you enjoy the genre, this is a book you should read. The banter between the two is quite clever. I'll go back to the Stephanie Plum books, but this was an interesting deviation.

This is Janet Evanovich writing under a pseudonym, a great tale with lots of heart. When Chris' car breaks down and a scruffy guy stops to help, chaos reigns and the poor guy ends up with a broken arm and Chris ends up with a roomer. The money will help, but the chaos continues as steam tries to rise between the two, and stories are told that have to be explained in the long run. A bouncy romance with a happy ending.

I don't like love stories! I couldn't put this book down! I thought I knew what I was in for...but no!! This story was delicious!! I could identify with the characters and totally enjoyed the fact that the love making was left to my imagination and not spoiled by words on a page. This was a complete change from Stephanie Plum and Grandma Maur and I loved it!! Can hardly wait for more...
